VERY OLD AND BASIC

Posted Nov 12, 2017
Pros: the fact that it was near to transport into city center
Cons: the heating system the windows although modern did let a lot of air in double room should be big enough for two people to be able to walk around in
Location: shops and bars near bye within walking distance
Not expensive but very dated, room was freezing took ages for the old fashioned iron radiator to heat up bathroom was neat and clean good shower room had a bath, i had a double room but it was very small with a small window high up, could hear everything that was going on in the next room when trying to sleep which was very unpleasant to have too listen too, £9.95 for breakfast I thought was very expensive,

Close to everything

Posted Oct 26, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: The toilet, kept running. Must of drove the people below crazy.
Location: Go out the door turn left then turn left again after the gas station and then walk up this street until the street starts with an S. Has everything.
We had a superior room it was so large, huge windows. Hotel was close to a street can't remember the name started with an S, 5 minute walk. There was an outside laundry right next door at the gas station. The toilet kept going all night but otherwise it was great.

Executive room which was pretty average for the rate. Whole place needs a facelift and there appeared to be limited bar facilities. I came back from a restaurant and asked for a drink before going to bed at five to twelve. I was informed drinks were only served until 2359 and that if i wanted a second I should order it now. Not what I have come to expect in Best western hotels

I was very pleased with this hotel

Posted Sep 29, 2017
Pros: the quaintness without losing comfort
Cons: I can't think of anything which could be improved.
Location: The hotel is on the west and convenient to the hop off and on bus, and it is just ten minutes from train stations and shopping. Lots of restaurants.
It was very clean and quiet and I felt very safe on my first solo trip to Glasgow. The place was spotless and in a good location for what my plans were. The staff were very helpful and knew the neighborhood. The breakfasts were also very good, either full or continental, which included everything but a few hot dishes.

Overpricing, old and uncomfortable

Posted Aug 29, 2017
The hotel is old and located far away from city centre. Construction site at the back. Take a taxi if you have luggage. No lift no airconditioner. Overpriced with such conditions. The only plus was the staff, friendly and helpful.
