Large hostel conveniently situated in central city

Posted Sep 14, 2017
Clean and spacious rooms with ensuites. Would benefit from new mattresses, individual bed lights, and charging sockets. The lounge/dining and bar OK . But the kitchen poorly equipped and fridges not checked often enough....much left food clogging the shelves. I suspect some had been there for weeks !! I chucked some sour milk out myself !! The buffet breakfast good value for £5. Otherwise a good value hostel . Would stay again.

Good location

Stayed in an 8 bed suite, with its own toilets and TV lounge, it is a good option and still at a good price. My mattress wasn't too good, but that's more chance than anything else. Location was great, close to the city centre, commercial streets and public transport.

Very alright Glasgow stay

Hostel is very basic, and is a very OK place to stay for a night or two. Needing a bit of maintenance, and totally lacks any personality or ambience. However, it's in a great location, has a kitchen (bare bones), and the room itself (twin private) was quiet. The shower was actually great: hot and good pressure.

Cons: Towel hooks and small shelf in shower room would be an extremely good idea.
Only spent one night there in dormitory but got a decent sleep.

Good budget hostel

Pros: Location
Cons: Shower heads
Location: Shops, restaurants
Overall this hostel is good value for money. Location: well placed for enjoying the city, sightseeing, close to transport links, restaurants and shops. Staff: friendly and helpful Cleanliness: room and common areas were clean. Shower could have been a bit cleaner but not in a bad state for common use. Cons: beds were kinda squeaky which was annoying when sharing a room with others. Showers are small and are rainfall style; some may consider this a luxury but then you have very long dreadlocks like I do and don't want to get them wet in the shower, using this type of shower in a cramped stall becomes difficult (it was like doing gymnastics). My room had 8 beds and 6 lockers. Tip: the restaurant/bar downstairs is good value.

Excellent Location and Amazing Cost

Posted Jul 30, 2017
It is couple of minutes from Glasgow central station. The reception staff are friendly. The dormitory or eight had two showers and one toilet. The single beds were made and were clean. I did for disturbed as few people came in late but that is what dormitory is. Overall great experience
