Hotel is old and tired. Needs serious remodeling

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Really regretted booking here. Hotel was hard to find. Tucked into a back road. Inside was old and a little decrepit. Cold air drifted in through windows - had to ask for a heater.

Excellent hotel for Byres Road

Posted Jun 25, 2017
Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: Parking! Multi story shared with a supermarket that is expensive. Metered parking with a 3 hour limit Monday to Saturday (Daytime).
Location: Nicely located for Byres Road and the lanes ....hopping with bars and restaurants. Close to the University and the Botanical gardens.
The hotel has character as it is built into an old Glasgow terrace.

Hotel needs upgrading and renovating.

This hotel is outside the main centre of Glasgow, which means travel to and fro for those amenities, though it is located in the West End area, near the University and some important art galaries and museums, as well as the botanic gardens. On one of the days of our stay the room wasn't serviced, despite us showing the relevant hanger on our door. Because of the poor state of repair to the building, it is now overpriced.

Family gathering

Staying in Glasgow for family get-together. Very handy for Byres Road and Ashton lane restaurants etc Public transport to Glasgow city centre close by. Close to Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow University and a 20 minute walk to Tantrum Donuts - a must visit delight.

Great hotel in west end of Glasgow

Posted May 6, 2017
Pros: Good rates, good Wi-Fi facilities, well-appointed rooms. Good access to west end locations.
Cons: Better restaurant menu (for dinner), bigger rooms, and cheaper parking.
Location: Described earlier
Convenient location with access to the University and the Kelvin Grove museum, hall, and park. Walking distance to good restaurants with a wide variety of ethnic food.
