"Very nice hotel"
We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff was excellent. They were always courteous and helped with whatever we needed. The spa was adequate and the tea/massage was a great experience. Our room was clean and ready to go every time we returned from our day out. I would caution anyone that is a light sleeper to make sure you ask for a room that is not located next to the elevator as it is a bit noisy. We recommend this hotel.

"Not great, not bad"
We had a very mixed experience with the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow. On the positive side, we had reserved a junior suite, but were upgraded to a larger corner suite on arrival. However, it took a fair amount of time to check in (the computer systems were not working well), and once we got up to the room, we discovered that while spacious with a modern design, the furniture and the room were VERY worn and not well maintained. The room was clean, but there was a large area of water damage/staining on the bathroom ceiling. The very modern furniture probably looked great when new, but isn’t actually very comfortable. The couch and chairs are very low to the ground with very tall, straight back and arm rests. There was also a surprisingly large amount of bird poop on all the windows, which really detracts from the floor-to-ceiling windows which are a primary feature of the room. The whole hotel exterior needs a good pressure wash! To be fair, the entire city of Glasgow seems to be well coated in seagull droppings. The hotel has a large breakfast buffet, with a good selection of options (including the traditional Scottish Breakfast with haggis and blood sausage) – something for everyone. The hotel is located directly across the street from the Glasgow Central train station (that is the reason we chose to stay here), and easy walking distance (3 blocks) from the Style Mile shopping district. The hop-on/hop-off city bus tours also stops right outside the hotel.

"perfect stop on way to western Highlands"
this hotel was a great halfway stop to our final destination in the west Highlands. We ate at the carvery next door, which was adequate for our needs and avoided us having to get back in the car after a long journey. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but adequate. Staff friendly and room clean - my only comment would be that we were given a disabled room, which obviously had a lot of features set up for someone in a wheelchair - I found this a bit irritating but we were very tired and for one night couldn't be bothered to ask for another room - this is why I have only given three stars for room comfort.

Only down side was wifi connection very poor, two of my sisters found beds uncomfortable, however my other sister and I slept like babies. If that's all we can find too complain about then that's a winner in my books.
