Disappointed

Posted Apr 11, 2016
There are no dinner options nearby. Breakfast was a disappointment / used to several juice choices, served something close to HiC. Yoghurt was great but when small bowl was empty, no offers of refill. Ok but have had better B and B choices

Sorry you were disappointed. Restaurant next door has been closed to illness. We do have lots of juice choices, just need to ask as well with the more yogurt. Hope the rest of you trip was good. Thank you, Rochelle

Friendly, close to Zion and Bryce

Posted Mar 28, 2016
Pros: Nice historical place, clean and remodeled, has lots of historical items from the structure, their families etc. has a real homey feel.
Location: This is located between Bryce canyon and Zion National parks. very convenient location to visit both parks. Nice smaller restaurants nearby.
Rochelle and Mike are very friendly and helpful people. Near our room was a kind of outdoor viewing area with coffee, tea and all the fixings. There is free WI -FI and a small electronics table for your use. They have a great HEALTHY breakfast with plenty to eat, with special waffles designed by them for health and an excellent fruit and yogurt bowl, juices, milk, cereal, toast etc. etc. Mike is an excellent woodworker and has made several items for the Hotel, there were 2 beautiful tables in our room and a beautiful wood base for our King Size bed. The bed was very comfortable. After breakfast Rochelle took us on a tour of her greenhouse with many beautiful flowers and plants. Then Mike asked where we were going, and he took a tour map and outlined many more things for us to see and do that only the locals would know. We were going to Bryce, and he added Lava Fields, a trip through camping and farming areas. As a bonus to that side trip, we saw and large group of prong horn antelope right in the road. They were beautiful and we got several pictures. then we went east of Bryce and saw many more beautiful valleys and more local agriculture that we would have missed. Thanks to Mike we had a full day of adventure. We highly recommend this hotel.

This is a well run hotel / bed & breakfast.

Posted Dec 31, 2015
Pros: Clean. Comfortable. A good breakfast.
Cons: I believe that the management is doing all they can to provide an exceptional stay.
Location: Close to Zion and Bryce. Sprindale does not offer much.
We stayed at the historic Smith Hotel enroute from Bryce Canyon to Zion. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and hardworking. Both the breakfast food and company was exceptional. The town was disappointing with very little to offer the tourists.

rustic setting, small room, but adequate for us

Posted Oct 29, 2015
Cons: see above
Location: Kodachrome State Park and Bryce National Park are spectacular
we were told when we checked in that breakfast would be served from 7 am to 10 am. We stopped for breakfast at 7:45, and the doors were locked. Several other guests were waiting as well. No one answered the phone for service after hours. The camping guests were told that the price for breakfast was $4.50. We would like to be refunded $9.00, since we had to stop somewhere else for coffee and breakfast.

Sorry but you were not at our hotel, had to be somewhere else. Coffee is always ready at 7am, a full breakfast at 8am. Never from 7 to 10. our check out is at 10 am. and we never charge for it. Our doors are not locked and no camping on our property. t

Schöne Pension

Posted Oct 28, 2015
Location: Zion Nationalpark

Pleasant staff--disappointing room

Posted Oct 6, 2015
Pros: pancakes were good
Cons: Connect 2 rooms & make one. Raise sink so men don't have to kneel to brush teeth.
Location: Nothing close by Bryce about 1/2 hour away
Room was very small & uncomfortable. Would not recommend to others Will not return

So sorry you did not enjoy your stay. You had our smallest room. Our Historic Hotel has been through lot of changes over the years but is original from 1927 in some areas, like your sink. Originally only one bath upstairs and one downstairs. Each room now has it's own bath. Rochelle

Friendly, affordable, great location

Posted Oct 6, 2015
A great location between Zion & Bryce National Parks. Breakfast was very good & served in a cozy dining room setting. Our hosts were friendly & very helpful in helping us plan our day trips. We stayed 3 nights & really got a great look at southern Utah. Rooms are cozy, beds comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Grazioso. Isolato e tranquillo.

B&b isolato, molto vicino a bryce canion e Zion park. Secondo me un pò caro in rapporto a quello che offre.
