Sorry about no restaurants in our area. That's why I always send an email to eat before you get here. Lots of great ones in Springdale or up in Bryce. Hotel built in 1927 and no elevator ever put in. Just add it hikes that you do in our area. Thanks for staying with hope you had a great trip. Rochelle

Clean comfortable accommodations.

Posted Apr 18, 2017
Pros: clean and very roomy
Location: There is a Wal-Mart in nearby Richfield with a Home Depot and a number of good restaurants.
We were very pleased with the new carpet in bedroom and tiled bathroom. Very spacious and clean bathroom. Bed was comfortable with lots of room in the bedroom.

Great B&B between the parks

Posted Apr 9, 2017 on Hotels
The B&B was great! The owners are SO nice and welcoming. The location was perfect for in between Zion and Bryce NPs, it's about halfway in between the two. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and hearty! I would stay again.

Warm and Welcoming

Posted Apr 7, 2017
Pros: The charming atmosphere and the friendly hosts.
Cons: The water in the sink and shower took quite awhile to get warm.
Location: Zion and Bryce National Parks, Coral Sand Dunes State Park, Kodacrome State Park and much more. The hosts have lots of other ideas as well.
The B & B owners were very accommodating as we were late arrivals due to flight issues. They had excellent recommendations for how to plan our site seeing in the area and this made our trip go so smoothly and we saw sites we would not have known about. We only had one breakfast during our 4 night stay, but it was excellent. Our hosts accommodated our early departures to run or hike each day by having a stash of breakfast foods we had easy access to. Very charming setting and such warm hosts.

Thank you so much for staying with us. Sorry the water took a bit to get hot. We have new on demand water heaters. It takes a couple minutes to get hot but lasts forever. Hope the rest of your trip was great. Rochelle

Charming little bed and breakfast in between zion and bryce canyon national parks. The couple who own the bed and breakfast are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are antiquated and small, but that is part of the charm. They are very cozy and sufficient for a good night's rest. Highly recommended.

Smith Historic Hotel B&B

Posted Mar 18, 2017 on Hotels
A wonderful, cozy place to stay between Zion and Bryce National Parks. The two hosts, Rochelle and Mike are eager to share their extensive knowledge of the area and plan your daily excursions. The breakfasts are yummy and very filling. The beds are SO comfortable- Mike makes a lot of the furniture and Rochelle has an amazing orchid collection. Highly reccommend.

Pros: Quaint, restored boarding house with original wood burning stove, wood floors and period decorating.
Cons: Was skeptical when arriving from the South at night. twisting, turning road from Zion
Location: Glendale left a bit to be disired. No problems, just not much in town.
very nice. Owners were very helpful in planning our day in and around Zion and Bryce Canyon, directing us to places that were not included on the park maps.

More "outdated" than "historic"

Posted Oct 17, 2016
"historic" serves as an excuse here for an outdated hotel. The bathroom is small and super old, room is tiny, and windows are thin. I had a road facing room and could hear traffic all night. The place is not cheap for the low standard it offers. They get away with it due to lack of competition in this remote location.

Sorry you were unhappy. You booked our smallest room and we hope to remodel the bath this winter or it will be taken out of our inventory. Wish we could have upgraded you to one of our larger rooms but none we available. Rochelle
