Fantastic property. From location, setting to decor. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast and really friendly couple.
Everything we needed was there and really comfortable.
Didn't sleep well as the mattress and pillow were lumpy. Also the quilt could do with replacing. No glass in bathroom.
Very nice hotel and friendly staff. We stayed two nights .Friday and Saturday On checking in on Friday night the receptionist told us it was advisable to book a table in dinning room to avoid disappointment so we booked a table for Saturday night and had the bar food Friday night and it was passable ...
The check-in process was good and the staff friendly. The room was clean and well appointed. There was secure off rode parking and easy access to all of the bars, shops and restaurants.
Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Had the Port burger in the bar an it was delicious. I wud highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back for another stay. 👌
If you go to Glenveagh Castle, prepare to be carried to an entirely different time and place.
If you've not heard of Dunfanaghy, the place where it's located, you've likely come across the national capital, Dublin, from which it is 140 miles.
You and your friends will find it difficult to find accommodation within 0.1 miles of Glenveagh Castle. Just 30 miles away, in Londonderry, is where you will find several hotels to consider. The City Hotel Derry, Maldron Hotel Derry and Chamberlain House are some favored options available there.
Make sure you check out the menu and regular specials at Glenveagh Tea Rooms (Glenveagh Castle). This suitable dining establishment lies only 0.1 miles away from Glenveagh Castle.
