Average and close to everything, Glenwood Springs

Pros: My stay was uneventful, but after the total experience afterwards I cannot recommend this place.
Cons: Everything. Customer service, politeness, better beds and mattresses, updating...
Location: The location is central to everything in Glenwood Springs. It is close to new hot springs called Iron Mountain Hot Springs which was very nice.
Bed was broken and quite noisy. Room was clean, but outdated and average. I left an item behind and had an unpleasant experience trying to communicate with someone over the phone who stated she was the Manager. She had broken English and during my stay I only saw men in the hotel office. She told me to go through UPS and after I did that and paid for a pick-up, I called her back to provide my credit card information for the shipment fee. She then became uncooperative, argumentative and insulting. She made me send her an email authorizing her to use my credit card which was very odd for a hotel that accepts credit card payments all the time. And, she never followed-up stating my item was shipped, what the shipment fee was, nor providing the tracking number. It's been almost a week and I am still hoping my item will arrive. I have been watching my credit card charges for a UPS charge and there isn't one, so I have no idea if UPS picked up my item or not.

Average hotel

Pros: Cheap buses provided by town make location a non-factor. Air conditioning was nice and cold
Cons: Have a locked room to hold luggage, properly clean the room
Location: About 1.5 miles uphill from the train, walkable if you want exercise. The city has $1 buses every twenty minutes. 1 mile from Glenwood Caverns Park
Room was not adequately cleaned prior to my check-in. Found an open, used bar of soap instead of a new bar. Housekeeping left a half eaten container of food next to the TV. Having the hotel hold my bags prior to check-in, meant hiding them under a table in a non-secure location.

Pros: Clean
Cons: Expedia information, front desk attitude.
Location: It was Glenwood Springs, lots to do.
Hotel was clean, good for 1 night. Problems came from Expedia, they need to train the staff so they know what the motels offer. We were told a cot would be provided at no extra charge, had to pay $10, we were told there was a pool, no pool--never had a pool. Poor breakfast, needed lotion--had no lotion and front desk lady was on the rude side. Will not use Expedia again and will not go back to that motel.
