We would come back to Silver Spruce. Great breakfast and accomondating. We needed a crib, but they were all being used. Our room was so spacious. Large kitchen with full sized stove and refrigerator and enough floor space for 2 young children to play.
Hotel was nice and clean. Check-in was quick and easy. Target and several restaurants in walking distance make this a great location. We stayed here while spending the week skiing at Sunshine Mountain (a short 20 min drive). Mon - Thurs they have free beer and wine 6p-7:30pm.
To begin with, if I could rate this hotel 4.5, I would. Last minute decision to visit Glenwood Springs on Labor Day road trip. My family chose Affordable Inns because it was one of the least expensive available. It was apparent that room 208 had been fairly recently re-painted and re-carpeted. The ...
Smooth check in, Glenwood is a town you can walk around. Hot springs were amazing I may not ever return to the "Big Pool". Iron Mountain is cozy, adult, quiet and lovely. So relaxing.
Ok hotel but was disappointed with the breakfast. No eggs or sausage/bacon. Location convenient to freeway and 1 mile from the quaint old town with a dog friendly patio and shops.
I didn't know what to expect but the gentleman behind the desk was very nice and pleasant and the room was perfect for one person. Was surprised there was only a stand up shower and no tub but the linens were clean, everything worked and it was a nice experience all around, if I go back through again ...
Noisy room, next door lots of opening and closing of door, we had to put a blanket under the door to stop the smell of pot coming into the room, wish there was some sort of monitor that it can be detected at the front desk or your security.
We were greeted promptly by very friendly and knowledgeable staff... The hotel was clean and bright. Fresh cookies were provided (because who says no to that??? yummy!) The bed was a bit hard for my liking but the room was comfortable and clean. Would recommend and will stay again. Thank you
Lots of road construction in the area which made it a little difficult to get around however it worked out OK. The hotel is old but updated so is a nice place to stay. We were not impressed with breakfast at the hotel restaurant but that was the only negative we experienced.
Very nice room. Very clean and quite large; was nice to have a little extra room to move around for once! Only complaint is that the water out of the tap smelled horrible. Free breakfast was a nice touch as well, although powered eggs always leave something to be desired.
Much of Glenwood Springs is under construction. So is this hotel. Wasn't sure if it was open or not. But once checked in all was well. Could hear every noise my neighbor made, hopefully that will be fixed. Great location for walking around Glenwood Springs.
Don't expect the Ritz... but for a basic motel this fit the bill. The free breakfast was the worst of the 3 places we stayed at during our hunting trip, though -- it could use some rethinking (more options, nicer breakfast area -- even a little paint etc to make it more interesting). It was just ...
