Lovely historic hotel in Glenwood Springs

Posted Sep 25, 2017
Stayed here in September 2017. From first contact by phone, hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, informing us of room options and nearby dining. Staff also told us about the current bridge construction and gave instructions for driving into town via the detour. The hotel is beautifully, but not fussily, furnished with antiques, but manages to feel modern and current at the same time, with all the modern conveniences. Highly recommend for a unique lodging experience.

AWESOME!

Posted Sep 25, 2017
Pros: Location, the parking lot that was provided for parking was most definitely a big PLUS!
Cons: Nothing really. Just continue the great service, hospitality and quality!
Location: Central location, easy to walk to the restaurants, shopping the hot springs.
Regardless of the construction, the staff made sure to always ask and provide information on the traffic, the routes to get somewhere. We got around quite well. It would have been great to have bikes to rent to tool around town! Staff of the hotel super friendly and informative! Loved it! Hotel was excellent as was the restaurant!

Emphasis on "The"

Pros: History, details, rooms and location.
Cons: Prompt, attentive and alert front desk staff.
Great hotel with great rooms in a great location. Well appointed and clean. Relaxing was easy. Only disappointment was the front desk staff. They were not prompt at check-in being easily distracted. Forgot we had been given an access card to the parking lot. Where usually socializing with people and would not break away to assist a guest at the front desk. At check out, they were unaware of how guests cued and processed two people in front ahead of me. I felt like I was invisible to the front desk staff.

Visiting with my son who lives in Denver and planned a road trip. He couldn't find a pet sitter so at the last moment had to call for pet accommodations. The clerk was wonderful and changed our room to a great lower floor room with a lot of space. They do not charge a pet fee which is very nice. Lovely hotel.

Great location, fun experience!

The history of the town, and Hotel Denver, make Glenwood a great family get-away. Loved the antiques and the uneven floors! Feels like you step back in time.

Close to Restaurants

This was our first time staying, and it was a quaint little historical hotel. The rooms are small, but adequate enough, and close enough to a lot of restaurants.

Perfect location downtown away from the construction noises that is going on with the new bridge.

Family vacation. Detours for bridgework was a bit disruutive, but not bad.

Not the best

Posted Aug 31, 2017
Pros: Nice location across from the train station and the hotel kept the look of an old fashioned western look.
No one helps you with your bags. You have to park yourself in the open around the corner. No room service. The staff isn't very friendly or helpful and it was expensive for a small town. The bed was so high up it should have had a few steps to get into it.
