Emphasis on "The"

Pros: History, details, rooms and location.
Cons: Prompt, attentive and alert front desk staff.
Great hotel with great rooms in a great location. Well appointed and clean. Relaxing was easy. Only disappointment was the front desk staff. They were not prompt at check-in being easily distracted. Forgot we had been given an access card to the parking lot. Where usually socializing with people and would not break away to assist a guest at the front desk. At check out, they were unaware of how guests cued and processed two people in front ahead of me. I felt like I was invisible to the front desk staff.

Visiting with my son who lives in Denver and planned a road trip. He couldn't find a pet sitter so at the last moment had to call for pet accommodations. The clerk was wonderful and changed our room to a great lower floor room with a lot of space. They do not charge a pet fee which is very nice. Lovely hotel.

Great location, fun experience!

The history of the town, and Hotel Denver, make Glenwood a great family get-away. Loved the antiques and the uneven floors! Feels like you step back in time.

Close to Restaurants

This was our first time staying, and it was a quaint little historical hotel. The rooms are small, but adequate enough, and close enough to a lot of restaurants.

Family vacation. Detours for bridgework was a bit disruutive, but not bad.

Not the best

Posted Aug 31, 2017
Pros: Nice location across from the train station and the hotel kept the look of an old fashioned western look.
No one helps you with your bags. You have to park yourself in the open around the corner. No room service. The staff isn't very friendly or helpful and it was expensive for a small town. The bed was so high up it should have had a few steps to get into it.

Great value

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Dog friendly- not charging for pets. Charming and clean room.
Cons: If they can find a way to better sound proof the room or add a noise cancelation machine.
Location: Near restaurants and shopping.
The room was very charming, spacious and clean. It is very dog friendly hotel that does not charge for your pets which is great especially when you have well behaved pets. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The only downside is the noise from trains that come through during the night.

Historic hotel with charm and excellent service

Posted Aug 21, 2017
We were very impressed with the staff at Hotel Denver. Friendly check-in and they twice set us up to visit the local hot springs with towels and water bottles. The hotel sells tickets to the springs across the river at a discount and the pools can be reached on foot via a pleasant path and bridge. Nice micro-brewery right in the hotel too. Be aware of some traffic due to bridge construction between the hotel and I70.
