The location was very good, however i was not able to have a meal at the hotel due to not pre-book. Free WiFi was one of the big sell however it didn't work and this impacted on my stay as i booked based on having the use of this facility. The swimming pool was out of order due to chlorine issues so was not great as i needed a swim before my sporting event.

Good hotel
Great hotel with very good facilities avaliable such as bar, restaurant, swimming pool and gym. Only reason it was given 4 stars was because the walls in the room seemed a little thin so you could hear the tv from my neighbours room and people talking in the hall quite clearly.

So relaxing
Staff all really friendly and helpful, just went for 3 nights to relax and it was perfect. Gloucester docks and retail outlet really close by for a great afternoon out. Be aware you have to pay for parking

Saint's Rugby weekend away
We have stayed at this hotel the past 4 years for the Rugby as we like to use the pool spa, they was all working & in good order. but the Breakfast on the 1st morning was not good at all as run out off everything then have to wait so ended up having only a small breakfast witch was not ideal as were of out for Rugby game & ended up having to eat in town before the game started. The room was very tired & the bath suite was the great avocado green colour & was in need or a complete renovation.

Good overnight stay

Room was clean and big enough, don’t agree with having to pay to park in the car park when staying at a hotel, front desk told me I hadn’t paid and then when I was looking for my payment he then said don’t worry. Was woken three times by people outside our room door. Apart from that it was nice.

Hotel room was dated with a mould problem in the bathroom. Bar couldn't serve food for an hour and half as they had a big group in the restaurant so meant food wouldn't have been available until gone 9pm. Disappointed overall

I have stayed here a few times. Hotel staff are always great. This time restaurant staff was subpar and not friendly. Make sure you don’t have a need for a refrigerator in your room because they do not offer that amenity. Beds are very hard and don’t sleep well. We always bring a mattress topper with us, it’s a must. If you forget any toiletries, they do not supply them.

Nice hotel but food and drink overpriced!
Great sized room and very clean. Slept ok but room extremely hot. Very small window and small fan didn't cope. The corridor leading to room was extremely hot too. Pint of if coke and double g&t cost £19.... .....rip off Breakfast ok but very dry.

Average /adequate hotel.
Although officially a 4-star hotel with a gym and spa, this hotel really comes over as an average 3-star Travelodge/Premier Inn style hotel, with a dated 90s style reminiscent of Alan Partridge's stint at the Linton Travel Tavern. We found that the room was dated in style, but clean enough. The double bed was two singles pushed together, which kept moving apart in the middle. Otherwise the room was okay, although the soundproofing is poor, and we were woken by the people in the room next door rolling in drunk at around 2am. The pool and spa area again is quite dated, and nothing special in style (think 90s leisure centre). Although the small sauna and steam room were functionally very good, the pool seemed over chlorinated and stung my eyes. The gym is quite well equipped and a bit larger than the average hotel gym. The hotel has its own car park, but you will be charged to park, which is a real cheek and an unpleasant surprise. The breakfast was below average, with cheap poor quality sausages and anaemic looking bacon, with cooked items running out and not replenished. We did not use the restaurant in the evening, so cannot comment on that. In summary, an adequate and functional hotel as a base for exploring the Cotswolds, but if you're booking for a special occasion or treating a loved one to a spa weekend, you'd be better off looking elsewhere for something a bit more special.

Great hotel, as long as there is no tour coach
Upon arriving I was disappointed that I had to pay £5 to park my car overnight. Check in was quick process. Made a reservation for the evening in the restaurant and due to a tour had to have dinner after 8.30. Looked at menu online and made my choice of what to have. Arrived at restaurant for my booking to be given an A4 piece of paper with what could be described as a “bar menu” to choose from. Bar 3 other tables the rest of the restaurant all had the full menus to choose from which was really disappointing, especially the cost of room along with the bar drinks I was very disappointed to be informed this by the waiter.

Overall very disappointing service 😕
Must say Hotel and Reception welcome staff were lovely but we were not informed before arriving at 7.30pm that restaurant was full and closed at 8.30 because only 2 serving staff were available, but we could order bar food from the same menu and served by same 2 serving staff ?. Only vegetarian option was risotto and rice was not fully cooked. Breakfast was absolute shambles, waited to be seated for 5 minutes but no one came so just had to find a table that been cleared from last guests, had to join queue for coffee cups as none were available, complained to staff as no bacon, scrambled eggs (was 1 fried egg left), no mushrooms left, when eventually food was replenished had to wait as plates were gone !!!, very disappointing service 😞

I arrived slightly later than planned so popped up to my room to drop my bags off and then went down to have dinner. Hanging over the shower rail in the bathroom was a very dirty bathmat, which I reported to reception. It didn’t inspire confidence in me with regards to the cleanliness of the rest of the room. There were a few hairs in the bath also. The wall around the window in the room looked like it was rotting/falling apart. The receptionist was very apologetic and brought a clean bathmat. In the restaurant I ordered calamari and the burger. The calamari was nice, the portion could’ve been a little bigger to fill the dish it was served in. I was then brought ‘beef bourguignon’ rather than a burger. I was a bit surprised and then it dawned on me that the waiter must have heard bourguignon rather than burger. Instead of offering to change it he said ‘this is better’, it was nearly 9pm at this point so I didn’t make a fuss and just ate it as I was hungry. It was very nice but clearly not what I had ordered. There was a long wait to ask for dessert and then for the bill. I got up and stood by the till for a while and two members of staff walked over and said they couldn’t do bills and would get somebody else. There weren’t that many people in the restaurant but everything seemed to take an age. The supervisor in the restaurant was very pleasant however. I went for breakfast just before 8am and half the dishes were empty, refills were slow. Very disappointing.

Excellent breakfast, beware of parking cost
Value for money. Choose the breakfast, it is the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Beware of parking. Cannot fathom why you would need to pay for parking at the price of the room and the area it is in. Rooms clean, beds were comfy for us (firm).

The hotel is comfortable and easy to get to. Charging for parking is a bit rich, when you have no EV charging points and there are not many nearby. It is very quiet and clean, with a good leisure centre and bar/ restaurant
