on the Expedia site it is saying free self parking leading you to believe they have a carpark but they do not it s find a space on the road and park your self (there are lots of places ) but the inn its self is a good place to stay clean rooms etc and breakfast is served at 07:00

A welcoming and comfortable stay
Always guaranteed a comfortable and pleasurable stay here. Straightforward check out and nice hot drinks tray Always look forward to the breakfast in the morning. Reasonably priced and not too far out from town once you get to know the area

Short stay
Lovely Pub, good food, comfortable beds and a great shower! Only down was being on the A40 it was quite noisy, needing to sleep with the windows closed, therefore quite hot in the room.

Great stay in Cheltenham!
Absolutely wonderful! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable and quiet room. Short walk to town. Breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend!

Nice & clean but noisy
Good points: nice clean room, friendly helpful staff, location that was perfect for me, decent if a bit limited breakfast in the morning. Not so good points: sound transferrance between rooms was awful, could hear people next door talking (they weren't being noisy just normal chatting volume) & snoring all night, when they opened their doors sounded like they were tring to get in our room (they definitely weren't!); was way too hot & with a thick heavy duvet meant we struggled to get to sleep; and the shower pressure was very low so definitely wouldn't have been able to wash my hair particularly easily if I'dtried to. In summary, if your a deep sleeper who likes a warm room with short hair it would be perfect, light sleepers who are easily awoken should avoid it.

Stayed in room 8, the room has a dedicated bathroom so not en suite like all the other rooms, no problem though. Very clean and warm, breakfast was great

Lovely welcoming staff
We had a lovely stay, everyone was really friendly and made us really welcome. I am vegan and they offered a vegan breakfast and had plant milk which made a lovely change. We didn't eat there in the evening as we went out exploring but there was a good choice. The pub was in a great spot that was a nice 15 minute walk into town but because it wasn't in the centre it meant we had free parking. We really enjoyed our visit.

Public bar and restaurant were good and the room was very pleasant and tastefully decorated. However the areas, especially the doors leading to our room needed painting or at least cleaned they were very grubby and bit untidy. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. Sadly the noise of the traffic went on till the early hours and because we needed to have the window open because of the high temperatures there was no getting away from it.

Hotel and bar were very welcoming , comfortable and did everything they could to make our stay perfect. Bar staff and hotel staff were all a good laugh. Even locals welcomed us and chatted to us all night

Noisy
This is a hotel I've used before but was disappointed this time by high noise levels. It seems the hotel/pub caters for weddings etc. The room I was allocated was directly above their function room which emitted a very loud thumping noise that literally made the room vibrate! After complaining I was offered another smaller room which was better but the window had to be kept shut since many of the revellers were in the garden below. I like the hotel but do check on other activities before booking.

Private Bathroom not En-suite!
We booked this for my in-laws as they were on a trip to Cheltenham as a Christmas present, we went through many hotel options trying to find a nice hotel within a reasonable budget. The hotel itself was clean although when they arrived their room wasn’t ready for them to stay in. Furthermore we made sure they had a private bathroom, however what isn’t mentioned is the double room we booked even though it stated private bathroom this wasn’t an en-suite it was a bathroom down a hall separate to their room and they ended up paying an additional £20 for a twin room rather than a double so they could have a en-suite. When they questioned why it wasn’t made clear they received some pushback and rudeness on this which isn’t the best start to a night away. They did say however that bedding and towels were clean and the room was nice, they also had breakfast which was included which again said was of a reasonable standard.

Really nice place and friendly helpful staff. The room was comfortable and clean. Having a bar and restaurant attached to the premises was really useful and catered for vegetarian and vegan options. The food is amazing. The breakfast the next morning was just the perfect start to the day. The only thing is the walls are a little bit thin as i could the person in the next room. But this was a minor blemish on a nice and well run establishment.
