Lovely hotel

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Tidy the outside front and back.
Location: Close to city centre.
First impressions when you drive up isn't very good but the hotel is clean and pleasant if not a bit dated. Very friendly staff and close to city centre. Would say give it the benefit of the doubt.

グロースター駅から徒歩圏内の清潔なプチホテル

Posted Jul 26, 2015
駅からは歩いて行けるし、徒歩5分以内の距離にテスコあり。金曜の夜の宿泊で9000円程度。部屋もロンドンのように手狭ではないし、アメニティは最小限であるが、清潔である。お勧めします。

Location: The cathedral is the main attraction in Gloucester central area. The docks / quays area is also worth visiting and has many restaurants.
Very comfortable, helpful staff, good breakfast, a good base for exploring the area

Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Nothing really, a slightly larger room would have been nice.
Location: 10-15 minute walk away from central attractions
We recently spent one night at the Edward Hotel. Our room was comfortable and very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and it was only a short walk into town and the quays. Free parking was available and this has to be a bonus for a city hotel.

Went to see elton John in concert, and even though my husband managed to spill our drinks over the owner we still had great service and breakfast was very good.

Ideally located in Gloucester

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Location and comfort
Location: Gloucester is on the edge of the Cotswolds so plenty to see and beautiful scenery. The town itself has plenty of bars, restaurants and shopping.
We were there for the Elton John concert. The hotel was located close to the venue and within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants. The hotel owner was very welcoming and had plenty of suggestions on where to go, what to see and the restaurants and bars. Plenty of private parking. Very good breakfast and friendly staff.

Pros: Location, easy walking distance to Kingsholm Stadiu, Gloucester Docks and Quays. On site parking. Breakfast okay.
Cons: Attitude of owners. For £89.50 per night our room should have been better appointed than it was.
Made booking back in January, we wanted a double but accepted a twin as no doubles available. On arrival at the hotel was checked in by the lady owner (didn't greet us or introduce herself, not even a smile), who advised us she had two twin rooms available and offered us the twin on the top floor which is very quiet, if we were okay with stairs. She said if we weren't happy with it, she could offer us the other twin room. After climbing 5 flights of stairs, we were disappointed with the standard of the room - it was cramped and because of the eaves we had to constantly avoid banging our heads. We went back to reception and requested to change rooms, to be advised by the male owner (just as grumpy and also didn't introduce himself) that the room had been allocated to another couple (wonder if they booked in January). Beds were very uncomfortable and lumpy, furniture tatty. On checking out, Mr Grumpy tried to overcharge me by £10 until I challenged the bill. The room was overpriced to start with never mind overcharging. Good points: free parking, fairly good breakfast, location good, clean.
