Excellent location in heart of Panaji.

Posted Jan 22, 2017
Design of room and bathroom is excellent but signs of poor maintenance are there. There is mold in the bathroom and shower requiring deep cleaning, a simple fix for owner. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Indian breakfast is excellent and satisfying.

Hotel centrally located

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: Centrally located.
Cons: Educate your staff, introduce more choices in your menu. The customer will decide what he/she wants to eat or know. Your job is to be prepared.
Location: Market nearby. Apart from that nothing much.
The Hotel is centrally located in the city of Panaji. However, if you are looking at eating there, just forget it. I have never experienced one of the worst room service in my life. The Hotel hardly has anything to eat and doesn't even have the items prescribed in its menu mentioned correctly. The best was the reception have no idea of what they service or don't serve in their own kitchen. Very sad! They don't even bother to clear your plates after you have finished you meal. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Time to pull up your socks Salida del Sol.

V.Good hotels to stay in Panaji (Goa infact)

Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: Good Staff. Particularly the reception is very good, polite, informative and eager to help. Clean, tidy & pleasant rooms along with tidy interiors.
Location: Being right into the heart of Panaji city it gives you lots of option to roam about in all directions.
We stayed here for 3 days, each day was better than the earlier day. You feel welcomed right at the door of the hotel. The building has got a good classical exteriors just right interiors. Its a pleasant surprise for the mid range budget travelers. Worth staying while in Goa.

A good business hotel

Posted Jun 25, 2013
Pros: Rooms
Cons: Food options
Location: Perfect if you are in panjim
A good business hotel, with good decor of the rooms , a bit cramped but if you are a business traveller it's the perfect hotel for the stay , the food is good but needs to have more variety , breakfast buffet needs to have more spreads, overall I would rate 7 on 10.

Used as a jumpoff to the surrounding area.

Front desk assistance was wonderful, room staff and breakfast staff were entirely satisfactory. (Restaurant staff at lunch appeared to be a different crew, and they were quite unsatisfactory.) Breakfast in the dining room was great - we wouldn't know about room-service breakfast. Apparently the hotel took someone's earlier comments about breakfast to heart, and fixed their problems. For those who complained about ants - you're living in India; don't leave unsealed food lying around, and you won't have a problem. Location is very good; walking-distance to good restaurants, good shopping, and reasonably convenient to Miramar on one side and Old Goa on the other. However, taxi and three-wheeler drivers don't seem to know its location yet; you might have to help them get you home, so get familiar with your nearby cross-streets early.

Staff Mixed

Pros: location, cleanliness, price
Cons: restaurant pricey
Great to be centrally located for day trips north and south. Hotel busy with election vote counting politicians but that added to the interest there and in town. Preferred the tall night guy to the day woman who talked so fast almost impossible for us to understand, even when we asked her to pls repeat. She seemed to spend all her time on the phone, some sounding personal. I'd suggest better customer service from her but the night guy was fabulous, even using his own cell phone to call our driver who was in route from Bangalore to meet us. Very helpful.

Great bathrooms, dreadful breakfast.

Posted Feb 19, 2012
Pros: Bathroom, great shower.
Cons: Breakfast - bottled juice, white toast and Nescafe.
Location: Central location on a corner so is noisy.
The best thing about the hotel was the bathrooms. Modern room with comfortable bed but small and noisy. Pity double-glazing was not used when the hotel was refurbished. Breakfast was dreadful.

Superb!

Posted Apr 23, 2011
We are regular visitors to Goa and have stayed in many hotels from 2 star to 5 star. However, this hotel was in a class of it's own. Salida Del Sol was a hotel which came with a 2 star price tag with 5 star facilities. The room was tastefully and beautifully decorated with quality bedding and furnishings which was more in keeping with New York than India! The walk-in shower was fabulous and was just what we needed the morning after the night before (after a few too many gins on one of the manyc casino boats moored on the Mandovi river!) It was also great to have tea making facilities in the room which is fairly unusual in Goa hotels. There were complementary toiletries including a toothbrush and toothpaste which were nice touches. The owners of this hotel had evidently expended a lot of effort into ensuring guests had everything they could wish for and the attention to detail was just superb. We will most certainly be checking in to this hotel again at some point in the future. We loved it!
