Cook by yourselfPosted Apr 27, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: The lookout is fantastic
Cons: Internet and breakfast.
Breakfast is included in the price but, in fact, you have to cook by yourself the bacon and eggs left in the fridge. Then, you could have a $25 fine if the cooking equipement has not been well cleaned. Internet network did not work in the room, I had to walk until the office to get another network working. The hotel is hard to find, as there is no indication panel on the road to help you.

Hotel staff were very welcoming and suggested local restaurants with good food. Studio room was large, clean and comfy. Only suggestion I could make would be to byo pillow as the ones in room were hard and lumpy. Generous amount of bacon, eggs and toast were provided for guests to cook in room. You wash up your dishes afterwards to avoid $25 room cleaning fee. I suggest you byo milk as the very small UTH milk provided might not be enough for two/three people to have tea/coffee at night and then again next morning. Child friendly accommodation, they even have two Shetland ponies and an alpaca grazing on the grounds. Beautiful and well kept grounds inviting you to take advantage of the scenery and spectacular views. accommodation is on opposite side of Mt Tamborine to a lot of attractions but only a 10minute drive to get there. If it weren't for the drive to Aaronlee I would have missed the spectacular viewing areas where you can stop and look out over the valley below. Aaronlee is about a 5 minute drive to the glow worms, many dining experiencesNell and some Sunday markets. Overall, a wonderful retreat, great staff and I would recommend it to singles, couples and families alike. Rooms are competitively priced and generally cheaper than other accomodation at Mt Tamborine.

Great place!Posted Apr 11, 2015 on Wotif
Beautiful view, beautiful open spaces and a lovely cabin. Bacon, eggs and toast complimentary to cook for yourself in the morning. The owner is friendly, dedicated and really planned the place well. Ponies and alpaca are adorable. It is a little out of the way compared to other places but the price and atmosphere make up for it. Would recommend - especially for big groups.

Pros: Relaxing location, close to Mount Tamborine, nice gardens to enjoy, great views.
Near Mount Tamborine in a quiet location. Large comfortable unit, excellent in-room breakfast pack. Would definitely stay there again. Good wifi. Very helpful owner. Lovely morning birdsong.

Lovely locationPosted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: The large and tastefully furnished room had a picturesque view from the big window over the table, the bed was gloriously comfortable
Cons: Juice for breakfast would be good, as well as a hook or two in the ensuite.
Location: Lots of sightseeing and dining opportunities.
In spite of almost constant rain (the effects of cyclone Marcia) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The large and tastefully furnished room had a picturesque view from the big window over the table, the bed was gloriously comfortable, and the proprietor was friendly and helpful. This retreat is in a beautiful spacious parklike setting. It is very reasonably priced for this quality of accommodation in this area.
