Firstly, I can't believe this hotel has a 4.5 star rating - a 3 star would be more understandable. I had booked the 'Hotel Deluxe Studio' room to stay for 8 nights, and upon entering the room I was shocked, utterly nothing like any of the photos displayed. The room appeared much smaller than expected, had an overall dirty/dusty feel with scuff marks/peeled paint all along the walls, sticky residue around the plug-in hairdryer in addition to a connecting door I was not informed of. We also had a broken dishwasher, something I also was not informed prior to check in - felt like there had been no maintenance for a while. I had rung the reception to inform them of these things and that we were not satisfied and if there was another room available to switch to. This was met with a 'we're fully booked' and no means of making the situation right. I left a review via Expedia about the check-in experience and had no follow up communication from the hotel manager as it had specified. There were also unfortunately several discrepancies with housekeeping, missing towels and amenities, uncleaned dishes (we had no dishwashing liquid to do this ourselves) so we found ourselves ringing reception nearly everyday for items that needed replacing. I am sad to say this is the first time Expedia has let me down, and I will be avoiding staying at the Mantra in the future.
