Close to beach With great views

Posted Nov 22, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Quiet, good location.
Cons: Front desk receptionist unwelcoming and uniformative on arrival.
Location: Close to beach and river. Paddle boarding available in river and close to bird sanctuary and airport.
Excellent position and close to a few restaurants. Loved the view. Staff not welcoming and no information booklet re available facilities in resort or places to visit etc, in room, which was slightly annoying. Even with these drawbacks we would stay here again.

A beautiful place to stay

Posted Oct 27, 2016 on Wotif
Relaxing outlook and within walking distance of good restaurants and of course the idyllic Currumbin Rock and Surf Club. Very clean open style apartment with a large veranda overlooking the beach. The pool and spa facilities are clean and well maintained. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our few days and will be back.

Close to the beach

Posted Oct 3, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Big apartment, 2bdrm.
Location: Currumbin doesnt have much infrastructure so shopping is hard. The RSL is the best Ive seen, walking distance.
Room was very big with lovely views on 7th floor. Furniture was very 8os, needed some updating. Kitchen seemed new with Miele. Very small dark main bathroom.

Nice hotel close to beach.

Pros: Terrific living/dining/kitchen area. Bedroom adequate. Ensuite tired and pokey Swimming pool and spa used daily. Very nice Handy to cafes and shops
Cons: Clothes drying rack. Not everyone wants to ruin washing in a dryer. Hair dryer would be useful
Location: Surf Club and cafes great. Under the flight path!! Could wave to the pilot from the side balcony
Recommended by a friend. Nice quiet area of the Gold Coast Would stay again here.

The Rock Resort Rocks!

Posted Sep 7, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing, because they are real professionals at their job
Location: Surfer's Club for Father's day... Wonderful, just a nice walk from the resort
I travel around Australia frequently, and to be honest nothing comes close to this Resort. The friendliness, the staff, the apartment overlooking the Ocean... Amazing! The cost, well it's the best around....Living in a resort with an Large apartment style, this is what the Rock Resort is... I'll be back many times.. Thank you

Nice, but

Disappointed with the amount of insects crawling over the bench tops in the kitchen and bathroom. Pool area very good.

Great location, reasonable condition and price

Posted Jan 28, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Location & gardens
Cons: Facelift for ageing building, air conditioning and/or ceiling fans, after hours access to lifts and staff, Internet
Location: Walking distance to great cafes and bistros. Choice of Surf Beach or Estuarine Creek for swimming and other water activities. Currumbin Sanctuary!!!
The best thing this resort has going for it is the beautiful Currumbin Beach and surrounds. Cross the road and your onto the sand - 200 m South and you're swimming between the flags - 200 m North and your paddling in Currumbin Creek. 50 m to the Beach Shack Cafe, 200 m to Elephant Rock Cafe and 300 m to Currumbin Vikings Surf Lifesaving Club with the bistro perched on Elephant Rock above the ocean and beach. The resort is showing signs of ageing and could do with a facelift - no air conditioning was an uncomfortable surprise and had to ask for a portable fan because no ceiling fans either. However, it was clean, functional and with undercover parking. The gardens are beautiful and the pool, spa, BBQ are and tennis courts are all first rate. Good value for money overall.
