The views are beautiful and the lodge is very nice!! Unfortunately our cabin had holes in walls, the light fixtures are loose, shower fixtures are loose and bathroom sealants are dirty and poorly done. Rooms service was non existent and a bag was left at door even though we had no signs on the door. Most staff is very young people and it seems to be run like kids were in charge. Dinner and breakfast service was slow and overpriced. Thank you to blonde server Carli for saving us with one great service.

The hot tub wasnt working. Had we known this, we may have come back a different time. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. It was tough to have a fire in the room as the smoke kept coming back into the room setting off the fire alarm despite the flue being open. So it made me wonder when the last time the chimneys were swept. The place looked tired, finishings were poorly done. This used to be one of our favorite spots to go, but has since taken a dive and the experience wasnt all it was cracked up to be.

5 stars for location!!! The food was really good although it takes a while to get the food but as long as you’re prepared for that it’s not bad. I loved having a real fireplace in the cabins. The rooms were a little more run down than I imagined but not bad at all. You can tell they rotate taking rooms out of service to fix them up as a few were being worked on. The lodge/common area was cozy. Plenty of area to hike around and enjoy the beautiful lake. The only thing I wish I had more information on was the fact that the parking lot for lodge guests is off site and you have to take a shuttle in. I was not sent any emails or information prior to checking in so we drove up to the tourist/guest parking and wandered in to find the lodge and encountered a grumpy front desk worker that treated us as if we should have known better. But all other staff and front desk personnel were friendly so it didn’t ruin anything for us. Just a heads up for future guests!
