Pros: Nice location.
Cons: Lots. It you are not serious about your summer guests, then close for the summer.
Location: Scenic, might be a great place to ski in the winter.
This hotel is 14 kilometres from town, none of the on-site restaurants was open. Staff in the various stores had no idea where there were open restaurants. Rooms are noisy, and small. Yes, it had a queen size bed, but only a narrow space to walk around it, no place to sit other than the bed. Noise caused by the doors to the hallway and we were in a lock-off, which made it like we were sharing a room. They were arguing loudly, until 11:00pm, then restarted at 5:00 am. A hot summer day.... The room had no air conditioning. I was very disappointed with the whole experience.

Location: scenery was great, gondolas good, beautiful location for wedding on top of mountain
Arrived at 12:30....check in not till 4:00. Had booked a King room and were given a Queen. Went down to the only resturant that was open...had to call out for anyone for service. Food was terrible. Had no choice to go back for supper. Soup was at best luke warm. Given one set of owels and not told that room serive is only every 4 days. Not worth the $481.00

The rooms are nicely appointed and have a small kitchen area with a sink and dishes. But it was so small there wasn't even room for a suitcase. And the very small tv was on such a low chest that you couldn't even see it over the bedpost.

This hotel was a complete disappointment and we would not stay here again. The room was tiny and cramped; the double bed in it took nearly all of the floor space. There was not even a chair in the room to sit in, just the bed, a 16" TV on a corner stand and a small counter space with a sink and small fridge. Upon arrival, the room smelled musty and stale like it had not been ventilated in weeks. At checkout in the morning we could not locate any staff to assist us. Eventually after 10 minutes someone came out of the back office and asked what we needed, then simply took the keys and said "we're good". No questions about how the stay was, the room, etc. It almost seemed like us checking out was an inconvenience for them. Overall this was a terribly disappointing experience and we will never stay here again.

Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Air conditioning for summer guests. Facility to at least buy food that is open past 8:30 p.m.
Location: It's about a 10-15 minute drive up the mountain road from the Town Centre of Golden.
Expensive, no air conditioning in summer. No restaurants or Facilities to purchase food if arriving after 8:30 p.m. Small dated TV.

We stayed at the Glacier Mountaineer Lodge in August 2015. The buildings and lobby are pleasing to the eye. The room itself had a very comfortable bed and nice smelling sheets, but the carpet and bathtub were visibly dirty. The room itself was also quite small, which wouldn't have been a problem if we hadn't been travelling with a baby who needs her playpen to sleep in. My overall impression is that this place was expensively built (nice finishes everywhere and again, a really good bed!), but now management is trying to maximize return to investors by putting the minimum in. This was notable in the condition of the room, various dings and dents in the hallways. To be fair, it is a ski lodge, so extra wear and tear is to be expected, but that means management should be putting in the extra effort to make sure this nice place doesn't lose its lustre.

Pros: Large room that could have potential
Cons: Top to bottom overhaul.
Location: Nothing to do here unless you want to spend a hundred bucks for the gondola ride for a family of four.
This could be a nice property but badly maintained and managed. It's at the bottom of a ski hill and it shows the kind of abuse it's taken over the years. Reminiscent of a "spring break" hotel in Fort Lauderdale that we check in to and promptly checked out of a few years ago. The carpet was filthy, the furniture looks like it came from salvage, and the TV (and you got it, vcr) is circa 1980. From what I saw of alternative hotels in Golden, just keep going another hour to either Revelstoke or Lake Louise.

This hotel is located in a beautiful spot on Kicking Horse Resort. However we arrived around 6 pm to find there were no food/snack options available without driving back down the mountain into Golden. No pub, no general store, no room service, just the vending machines. Our room key didn't work and after two tries with new keys, we were given an upgraded room to which we were informed there would be no charge. We had spent the better part of 45 min going back and forth between the front desk and the building next door, so I certainly wouldn't have expected an additional charge! The garage door was broken for the building we were originally scheduled to be in and we had to request to move to the one that was secure. It was a lot of work getting settled into this hotel with little or no customer service. The last straw was we checked with the front desk who informed us the coffee shop was open at 8 am and when we went there (which was within the property), it didn't open until 9. We went back to inform the front desk staff (same one who had a non-caring customer service attitude the night before), who shrugged her shoulders. All in all a very expensive hotel with nothing to offer other than a satisfactory room.
