“Nice surrounding of river, mountain scenery and quiet. We had dinner at a nice spanish restaurant about 5 min drive, town is nice walking distance if you love walking otherwise you need a car. Friendly and very helpful staff. We arrived late but the reception still opened awaiting us for check-in. Very clean room and nice reception area where you can sit and relax in or outside (it was cold so we stayed inside). Hot and cold drink water available for your refill at reception area. No breakfast……

“Great cozy lodge! The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was provided. The entire felt historic, rooms were cozy, and the views you get from the rooms and the breakfast dining room was amazing. Parking was slightly uneasy as there wasn’t markings outside of the lodge, during peak or busy summer times, if all the rooms are occupied, be prepared that the parking space outside he property will all be occupied too. Driving into the lodge was a long 80km/h road……

The peaceful riverside setting was stunning—we loved watching both the sunset and the sunrise from the property. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge before continuing our journey. We’d happily stay here again!”

“The hotel room is large and clean, with a microwave and small pantry and cutlery. However the bathtub is a bit small comparatively. The hair dryer needs to be requested from the office but the opening hour is until 10pm so it will be a bit troublesome if you arrive later than that. Also you may be hearing noises from nearby rooms so consider if you are sensitive to noises during your sleep.”

“We knew this would be a no- frills place with a shared washroom and communal kitchen. However, I did expect to have a reasonably warm shower and electricity. We had neither. They only put on the generator intermittently (are we in a war zone?). Nice young girl greets us, but otherwise no staff seen. She mostly seems to sit on the porch on her phone. Place feels abandoned. So to be fair- pros: beautiful setting, close to Yo-Ho, cool old building, with LOTS of potential, bed reasonably……
