Nice and affordable beach town for family

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanness
Cons: Elevator could be larger a bit, also even with elevator, you still have to deal with few stairs.
Location: beach, resturant
This is a very nice and affordable place to stay and vacation, no large tour group, but good restaurant, beach, no city occupancy tax.

Nice hotel

Very close to the station and the beach (3 minutes) therefore very well situated. Friendly staff, good breakfasts. Rooms on the basic side but clean and comfortable. Chiavari is an excellent base to explore this part of the Riveira.

Great hotel in terriffic town

Posted Aug 16, 2013 on Hotels
Loved it. The hotel is well located for seeing this wonderful beach town and the surrounding areas. Easy walking distance to the beach, great shopping streets, restaurants, daily town market. WiFi worked pretty well, most of the time. Rooms are compact but clean. Tiny shower stall! On site restaurant was good (only ate breakfast there which was a typical Euro buffet). Gets an older repeat clientele, but families as well. Quiet area. Nice outdoor tables for playing cards or having cocktails. Bar very reasonably priced. Ping pong & games available but I never saw anyone using them! Easy driving or train distance to other beach towns. We went to Zoagli for the great cliff walks along the beach (fantastic!) and Sestri Levante which was busier but had great shopping and probably nightlife (didn't experience it). Overall a fine location & hotel. I will return!

Charming hotel with friendly staff

Posted Jul 2, 2013
Pros: -Charming Hotel, not too pricy. -Clean -Very Friendly & helpful staff -Easy walking distance to town, train and beaches
Cons: Elevator is small (holds 2-people w/luggage) but works fine.
Location: Hotel location is very close to Chiavari Center, Beaches, Ferry, Train, all Stores, Churches, Resturants & Farmers Market in the Square.
My family spent 4-nights at this hotel in late June, 2013. The purpose of our trip to Chiavari was vacation. We had a wonderful time in the city of Chiavari as several festivals were on-going. The streets and beaches were full of people day and night. The hotel, while not on the beach, is easy to find and an easy walk to all attractions including Train and Ferry. The hotel staff was always freindly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well cared for. Breakfast was included with our stay.
