4 star hotel advertising spa, indoor pool and AC in rooms but it turned out that Spa has been closed for 2 years, AC is not available and they forget to mention that their is a construction site infront of main entrance. Never stay their.

Excellent
After a mix up with my original booking this hotel welcomed me very late at night and I stayed for three days they turned a very stressful situation into a blessing. The desk staff and breakfast staff were beyond excellent !! Room was clean and comfy with an authentic charm and location was awesome !! Walk to everything including the train on my departure and the price was very reasonable for the quality !! Thank you 🇨🇦

Lovely stay
Modern and clean, friendly staff and lovely rooms with lots of room. Building is really classic seaside Italian, dusty pink with green shutters and palm trees. Beautiful. the only problem we had was we arrived late in the afternoon and there was no parking on the first day left, but we got one the next day.

Modern spa hotel in histocal building
A lovely modern hotel in an old building close to the sea front bar and restaurants, yet just a few minutes walk from the train station. We did not visit the spa, though we were told we could enter once free on our three day visit. Nice breakfast with a good choice of continental breakfast items. Sadly our room overlooked a small inner courtyard, but other than that, the facilities were good and all the staff were staff friendly. There was a safe & fridge in the room.

The property was fine and very clean, the staff was very attentive. Location and parking were superb but the bed was horrible, it was two single beds pulled together to make one queen size bed. It came apart during the night almost causing me to fall to the floor.

Lovely hotel in the center of town
We stayed there while in town for a friend’s wedding. The location is very central. The staff was very helpful. My only complaint is the hairdryer. It’s more of a hose attached to a wall fixture.

Very well located hotel. Underground secure parking available at €19 per day. Good breakfast choice. Very clean rooms, quiet and very good aircon. Lovely king size bed. Staff really friendly. no swimming pool other than the small indoor plunge pool in the spa which is FOC but needs to be booked in advance. No good beaches in this area of coastline. They are pebbly and there are very few. You will need to pay the €15 per day to get a sun bed and beach area if you are a sunworshipper.

The property and room was “fine”, definitely no frills. The staff was pleasant accept for the head manager who was incredibly rude during our couple interactions and even when passing one another in the hallway of the lobby. The main issue came when we gave them a bag of laundry, maybe a quarter of a machine load. It took 3 days to get back and when we did it was €88. The staff working admitted it was insane. They said they talk to the manager, the rude one. When I got back to the desk the manager wouldn’t discuss it with me, so I paid. Those same items at the four season Hawaii would have been $40. Really bad way to say goodbye to an otherwise really nice trip.

Fabulous stay
Excellent location over the road from beach.5 minute walk to the railway station .The hotel restaurant food and service was very good .The staff in the hotel were friendly and very helpful .The only thing missing from the hotel is a sun terrace where you can sunbathe but the beach is literally across the road .The hotel spa is small but a very nice place to spend an hour relaxing .

The trim was dark and secluded. The elevator worked in a unique way that was difficult to figure out. Just not the type of room one would expect in a hotel that, otherwise, is solid.

Great if there's not a wedding when you stay
This is a really nice hotel, near to the sea and lots of restaurants. Our only problem was a wedding taking place in the hotel that evening so being on the first floor, we had a lot of noise until fairly late in the evening.

Short 2 night stay. Rooms quite basic and a bit noisy at night. AC worked fine, contrary to other reviewers experience reported here. Car parking limited and €19 per night. Good location in the centre of town close to the beach and lots of restaurants. Easy drive or nice ferry trip to Portofino too. Breakfast experience mixed. First morning had a great waiter who served fresh juice and eggs from the kitchen with no problem. Next day, a younger waiter insisted on a €4 charge per small glass of fresh juice and wanted to charge for anything hot, scrambled eggs or omelette. Which was nonsense. He relented only after I argued with him but it ruined the breakfast for us really. Totally unnecessary as the manager later told me that it IS included. Nobhead.

many positives one HUGE minus
I will begin with the positives on this hotel - there are many. 1. Location - exactly where you want to be in Rapallo, steps from the water, the beach, the Lungomare, so close to the train station, the ferries in the harbor, easy walking distance to the cable car up to Montallegro and lots of restaurants and stores. No need for a car when staying here. 2. Room - comfortable beds, clean, neat and organized. 3. Breakfast - ample, delicious, and free 4. No hidden costs/fees, etc. Negative - the AC (as of this writing in June 2016) was broken. If you are planning to stay in the near future you should probably check with them. I stayed 6 nights, we had half a night of air conditioning (more on the below). The remaining 5 and a half were truly miserable in the summer heat. I suppose what is most irritating is that this was a long term problem that the hotel 1) did not inform me ahead of time so that we could make other arrangements 2) did not inform me about when checking in, they made no mention of it, instead they let a sign in the elevator do their talking for them 3) offered no assistance such as a fan 4) offered no discount or any conciliatory offer. 5) with the windows having to be open all night, the loudness of the train whizzing by, the local teens who hang out all night on the bridge over the train tracks, the traffic and the constant ringing of the churchbell next door was a problem - bring earplugs.

This great hotel was very welcoming. The breakfast is included in the price which is a great deal - most hotels have expensive breakfasts in the morning. We also ate dinner here - it was delicious! They fit us in without a reservation; however, it was packed! Definitely a great place to go. I really enjoyed staying here. The room was big enough to feel like we finally had some space (compared with the other European hotel standards).

The hotel is situated very well at the heart of the city very close to the harbor. Hotel is renovated but nothing exceptional. You have to pay 20 euros to part your car for the night in the garage because public parking is very difficult to find. I thought that 20 euros was a little much since the car was not even on a parking space and I had to maneuver very hard to get it out. Breakfast was of good quality even though we had to beg to get coffee... But than again this is Italy and service isn't their strongpoint. In short it's ok for a few nights but nothing amazing to really look forward to.

This is my 2nd time I've stayed here, fabulous location, lovely helpful staff & gorgeous town! Enjoying the spa after a busy day of touring Rapallo & daytrips to Portofino & Cinque Terra was wonderful! (I felt the use of robes & slippers should be complimentary) Although breakfast was generous, it lacked variety. Reception staff are very helpful & friendly.

Rooms are small, decor is old and tired. After checking in we go to the room, bit disappointed by size and condition given that the common area of the hotels are very nice. Then we realised air conditioning is not working. Reception says it is down in the whole hotel and an engineer is working on it. We go out for dinner and when we come back our room is still uncomfortably hot. We chose to open the window and hope for the best, when we realise another of the hotel flaws: it's right next to the railways! That makes a very noisy, hot and mosquito infested night… all for the price of a 4 stars hotel. Avoid!
