As one of the more affordable hotels on the Riviera, we wdere surprised to find that the premises, staff, and location were excellent! I have to commend the staff above all, as they were incredibly friendly, informative, and helpful throughout our stay. It was great!

The hotel overlooks the Med and the property is beautiful. The gardens are meticulously kept. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a stunning 10 minute walk into Santa Margherita.

A Treasure
Hotel L'Approdo was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful! Even before we got there there they responded to our questions timely and thoroughly. The rooms are comfortable and most certainly clean. The views from the rooms and the patio in front are lovely. And they make GREAT coffee! Would go back for sure and tell others to stay.

This charming hotel has rooms with balconies providing very beautiful sea and surrounding views. Staff is friendly, helpful and client focus. Only pet peeve is 15-20 minute walk (on a hill) from hotel to town which can be challenging on hot days or if limited mobility). Bus service is an option as it stops in front of hotel, but be patient as not always on time. Decent breakfast also available and also couple of restaurants near by for dinner. If you want alternative option to overpriced hotels in region, this is a very good option. Hotel also has limited parking. I highly recommend.

Good value, but the bed was hard as a rock
The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. But other than that, the hotel is a great value for the area.

Location and staff
Spaces rooms, great location between Rapallo and Santa Margherita, with beautiful beaches nearby and easy to get to from the train station. Very clean and friendly and helpful staff. Beds are supper comfy!

Impossible to get a better hotel
Beautiful just renovated hotel with a stunning view. Is very close to Sta Margherita (walking distance). The staff is amazing, 5 stars service for a price of 3 stars. Everybody incredible nice and friendly! Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Spacious room and perfectly clean. Much better than the photos!!!!! Highly recommend the hotel. Is a 10.

Nice choice near Portofino
A wonderful hotel choice, close to the shoreline, close to villages (10 minute walk either way) with fabulous restaurants nearby.

Exceptional service and comfort
This hotel os situated a short walk away from Santa Margherita and a stone throw away from the seaside where you can safely swimm. Fabulous service by the reception employees. All is pleasant and made easy.

Superb, friendly, helpful staff. Lovely & clean with a fresh modern white decor. Perfectly situated for a stroll into Rapallo or Santa Margarita for restaurants, cafes & bars. Also a great base to get boats, buses or trains to the rest of Liguria, including Cinque Terra, Portofino & Genoa. Beautiful views of the sea and the hills. 5 stars from me, with special thanks to Cinzia & Laura for their sunny & helpful attitudes, and untiring tolerance of my poor Italian language skills.

Great little hotel
Amazing view! Cute little local beach ... no frills. Friendly service at reception & breakfast was spot on. The beds are very hard so that doesn’t suit my back & also would be nice to have maybe cushions for the sun loungers ... fantastic value for money tho.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful any time we had questions. Location was perfect to see both towns of Santa Margherita Ligure and Rapallo. In the hot sun the walks into those towns felt intense at times, but it only took about 15 to 20 min and it’s a beautiful walk with sidewalks the entire way. The shower was a bit small in the bathroom, but my boyfriend and I are quite tall, he’s 6’7” and he managed to shower in there with no complaint so it’s workable. Fantastic views from the balcony! We sat there most of the time that we were at the hotel. Just beautiful. So sad to be back in the states. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Enjoyable stay. Actually closer to Santa Margarita than Rapallo, but that was a plus as far as we were concerned. Only negative was a very, very small shower stall.

Hotel Approdo is a winner!
Hotel staff was extremely accomodating, informative, and kind. The location was perfect, situated between Santa Margherita and Rapollo with a bus stop right across the street from the hotel. The beds were very hard and pillows a little flat, but would stay there over and over again due to location, views, and staff. The free breakfast was outstanding as well!

Great hotel with great views.
We had a great room on the top floor with large patio that had two chaise lounges and two chairs. Great view of the water. Good European type breakfast. Hotel is excellent and deserves high rating. It is located half way between Rapallo and San Margherita. Because of parking issues in these towns, you really need to walk or take a taxi. It is very hilly so may be a problem for some people. Taxis are expensive at 20 Euros.

Good location
Room is basic and clean. Large balcony on 1st floor room. Good breakfast. Hotel located about 15min walk from Santa margarita ligure, which is a pretty beach town with lots of restaurants. Location and surroundings are nice. There are only limited number of car park within hotel, but there are free parking on the street near by.
