Our standard room was really spacious with comfy seating & a lovely bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. The icing on the cake was the food. We ate in the restaurant & had the rump steak with salad & chips. The salad came out 1st & was sublime…..who knew a salad could be so good. The steak was equally excellent. “We were 24 hour flight delay back home to Dallas and so I made reservations for Aschaffenburg, Germany. This little hotel has 39 rooms, two dining rooms and the best hosts I have ever had the opportunity to meet. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and large. We had tea in the dining room, my husband entertained us on the keyboard and they catered to us as if we were royalty. Ready to go back. "We absolutely loved this wonderful hotel! The king bed was incredibly comfortable, and having two separate duvets meant we both slept like babies. The bathroom was so thoughtfully designed too – with dual sinks so we could get ready at the same time without bumping elbows!
Little touches made it special: the bamboo/wooden toothbrushes and razors felt both eco-chic and luxurious, and our room’s sofa and chaise lounge were perfect for relaxing.
But the breakfast? Oh, it was an absolute dream! Such a spread for every taste – and as a tea lover, I was over the moon seeing proper loose-leaf teas (not just basic tea bags!) displayed so beautifully. The quality was exceptional.
The staff truly shone too! When we needed airport transport with four large suitcases, the gentleman at reception didn’t call two taxis – he found us one spacious cab that fit everything. That thoughtful gesture made us feel so cared for!
Just one playful note about our shower’s color-changing lights – while dancing through rainbow hues felt like a fun disco shower (🎵), a simple warm glow might be cozier for evening unwinding! Still, it added a whimsical touch to our stay.
Overall, a truly memorable experience we’d recommend in a heartbeat!"
