Unfriendly staff and no food available.

Posted Jul 2, 2017
We have loved this location the past two times we've been. This time was a little different. The staff at the bar and the General Store were rude and didn't know too much about what was going on. There was No hot Food at the general store as advertised. The next morning the food bar was completely closed and there was no where to purchase breakfast on the entire resort. Even at the lodge the restaurant was Closed down due to people Calling in sick. We really would love to come back but are very hesitant considering our last stay. Rachel Walker

Compound was big and had a LOT of amenities normally used for the Timeshare folks. Only ISSUE was the walls in the Lodge Rooms were paper thin and I heard entire conversations going on amongst families, even over top of the TV.

Nice hotel with great family amenities.

Pros: The cabins that made it feel more like home and less like a hotel.
The location was excellent with wonderful views. My grand daughters loved the horse back riding and pools. It was located close to Monticello and many other local attractions.

Awful!!! Experience!!!!

Posted Apr 1, 2017
We arrived late at night, after being held for several minutes at there Gestapo like check point we proceeded to go down a winding dark road. Night staff checked us in and was polite and courteous. Remember we arrived late at night like at 1 am so we were running a little late. We asked the front desk for a late check out and they told us " NO you must leave at 10:30Am!!! " needless to say we didn't even get to take showers and they knew it and still made us leave!!!! Unacceptable!!! If I died tomorrow I would haunt this hotel and its morning staff!!!

The resort is nice and beautiful. The room is clean, but very small without any chair or small desk. No sound proof thru the walls from next rooms. Overall, relaxing place but may need to improve rooms for the above issues.

Very rustic cabin. No Food service. We arrived around 7:00 PM. No food in immediate area. Popcorn in the cabin was our meal. Gated community, which wasn't noted. Floor tiles old and decrepite

A quiet peaceful weekend getaway

Posted Mar 23, 2017 on Hotels
We stayed at this hotel the night prior to visiting Luray Caverns. It was a nice, quiet and peaceful property with loads of activities to do. Its a complete resort. Though we did not get time to do any of the activities, we highly recommend it
