Great location.

Posted Nov 24, 2017
Cons: Let guests know that there will be no daily room service. It was a surprise, but not something that affected our enjoyment of the facility.
Location: The French Restaurant Pomme, not on the hotel discount list, was very nice.
Beautiful properties and views. We stayed here because we needed be to in the area for other personal business, not to enjoy the vacation related amenities. We did enjoy the restaurant and bar. And took suggestions for places to eat in Gordonville.

The Property!

Posted Oct 27, 2017
Pros: The setting is very magical and relaxing away from the hustle and bustle.
Cons: The cabins are very dated and falling apart. However, the property is currently being renovated but I don't believe all the cabins will be updated.
Location: Restaurants, shopping, vineyards and microbreweries are everywhere. Skyline drive is also close by for those that love the outdoors.
The property is the best part of the entire experience. The sprawling 1000 acres is magnificent and magical. The lake with the boats and stables with the horses are also a treat. The pools are well kept and are open well into November - Inside and outside. The town is also very nice and very good places to eat and shop!

Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the was very accommodating and pleasant.
Cons: The room inadequacies, see above.
Room telephone didn't work. We had to ask for a lamp in order to read. There was no seating, except for the bed, to view television.

Cabin experience, with Hotel accommodations

Posted Oct 8, 2017
When looking for a weekend getaway in the mountains, my first thought was a cabin in the woods. It's actually harder to find than I thought. My family and I LOVED staying at Bluegreen resort cabins!!! It was the cabin and outdoor feeling that I wanted, but still felt like a hotel room inside, so my kids were comfortable as well. All the staff were extremely pleasant, the resort is absolutely gorgeous. There is literally so Much to do we couldn't fit it all into our one night stay. The views are amazing as well!!! I've already told all my friends about this resort, and booked out cabin for a few months down the road.

OK but needs some work

Posted Aug 25, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Scenery, location, amenities
Cons: The hall carpet was dirty and smelled. No food available unless the restaurant was open. A small coffee shop with snacks would be nice
Overall the resort is nice. It is missing a few elements to make it a great place to stay.

Fun short stay

Posted Aug 24, 2017 on Hotels
This is a great place for a short stay with kids--pools and activities are great. We took my autistic son and he loved the water activities. My thirteen year old daughter loved the horses and other activities. The only issues we had were with coffee early in the morning (my son gets up at 5a). The in room coffee was horrible and the General Store didn't open until 8a.m.

Great girls weekend away

Posted Aug 21, 2017 on Hotels
I cannot say enough amazing things about the staff at the resort. Every person had an exceptional disposition and went above and beyond, from the security gate to the front desk to the random employee on a golf cart who escorted our limo from the lodge to the cabin. EXCEPTIONAL service. I was expecting to stay in a 3 BR cabin, and we ended up with a full townhouse instead, which was fine but not as upgraded as the cabins appeared to be. We weren't able to use the stable for our stay either, bc it is closed on Tuesdays and Fridays. I would suggest a different day than Friday to be closed so that guests that are only staying for the weekend have more opportunities to use it. And it would be nice if the bar stayed open past 9 or 10 pm.
