Great location to explore Lancaster and the Amish

Posted Dec 3, 2016
Pros: Quiet
Location: You really come here to learn about the Amish; lots to see.
Nice quiet location in Lancaster, short drive from good restaurants and close to many Amish attractions. Hotel staff were very helpful in advising where to go to experience the Amish

Surrounded by farmland

Posted Nov 8, 2016
Location: Amish Experience; Amish Village; Kettle Kitchen Village; Wilbur Chocolates; Sight and Sound Theater
This is the third time we've stayed at Harvest Drive Family Inn. It is in the country surrounded by farmland. The second floor rooms offer sweeping views of peaceful country farms. Rooms are well equipped with microwave, small refrigerator, table and two chairs, flat screen tv, iron and full-size ironing board, blow dryer, complementary soap, lotion, and shampoo, a coffee maker and complementary de-caf coffee, and a luggage rack stand. Each room has two plastic chairs outside the door on the porch. There is a gazebo, deck, and play set at the end of the inn. Plenty of free parking. An Amish restaurant is now open in a building across the parking lot from the inn. We had breakfast there and had their breakfast bar. Delicious food and super, friendly, efficient wait staff. Reasonably priced. If you are looking for a brand new, up-to-date place to stay, then this inn isn't for you. Our rooms did have a bit of a musty odor, but it wasn't overwhelming. If having a brand new place isn't a requirement, give Harvest Drive Family Inn a chance to become your chosen destination for trips to the Lancaster area. We highly recommend it!

Great Country Setting

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: The price
Cons: The beds
Location: It was a little out, but we enjoyed that. Having the restaurant near by was convenient.
The staff was very friendly. Our rooms were very clean and nice. The bed mattress could stand to be upgraded. It was very well priced. I liked being out in the country looking at the autumn leaves and farms. The nearby restaurant was a nice added treast.

Adequate Place to Stay

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: Convenient to Amish country attractions. Amenities in room were nice with a refrigerator and microwave.
Cons: Parking was difficult and rooms were not sufficiently insulated so you could hear other speaking in nearby rooms.

quaint

Posted Oct 10, 2016
Pros: The location and surroundings
Cons: The only thing possible would be a more updated look. But to gut everything to rebuild would not be economically feasible.
Location: Location is central to hwys 340 & 30 There's the Sight and Sound theater as well as shops, restaurants, museums, and lots of farm buildings.
Check in went well. Room was like reviews I had read. A bit outdated, but it was clean, the bed comfy, and the bath was remodeled to a pristine condition. The restaurant next door had an excellent breakfast both days we dined there. The setting was perfect. In every direction there was a breathtaking farm view. Location wise, it was central to all sights and activities. For the most part, almost all hotels have a decent location , as travel around is pretty simple and straightforward. Spending 3 nights there, the mini fridge was an important item to have.

Meeting Our Needs

Posted Oct 2, 2016
Our stay was pleasant and uneventful! ! It was rather secluded which is what I wanted! The bed was older and only a queen size but we survived! The microwave and fridge were small but operable! The bathroom was small and older but efficient!

Very Relaxing and Scenic

Posted Sep 30, 2016
We don't stay at the hotel much when we travel but like a comfortable, clean place when we do return to sleep. This had the added quality of a scenic view from our window and a nice gazebo to enjoy overlooking the fields.
