What I liked was the convenience to walk to the cathedral/square and the Rumbula. The lobby was very nice, the staff most accommodating- got us great tickets to the flamenco show as well as a 3 am taxi to the airport. What I did not like was the noise from the side street with homeless men yelling at each other. Only one night of the 6 we were there.

Lovely hotel in an exceptional location. I walked everywhere because the hotel is in the middle of the city and easy to find, which was important because I’d never been to Barcelona before. I’d definitely stay there again.

Just location was good That was the terrible staying that I have ever had. The hotel was very old and dirty and the room smells very bad and very noisy. I wanted to ask a question about reserving a taxi but front desk Representative was eating lunch and she didn't come to us and that was not nice.

The hotel is vintage. Rooms are dark. Poor eating facility. We were there a week and room had no garbage can and water glasses were not replaced with clean ones when the room was done. The location is superb though.

The location is about the only good thing my girlfriend and I liked. What not to like well, there is no complementary breakfast which most Hotels provide more over cleaning staff did their job however front desk where not too friendly and the Hotel conditions is not what is advertised online and the view facing a street alley with street noise made it unpleasant. We will seek else where on next visit.

There is an ice machine, which is a rarity in smaller independent European hotels. Our bathroom had a towel drying/warming rack, which we loved. Complimentary bottle of water in the room with nice glasses. Our only real complaint was the dodgy WiFi. You have to constantly reconnect. The address is just off La Rambla, so keep an eye on your stuff. Great coffee and pastry shop across the street called El Mos. Big Carrefour and Boqueria Market also close by.

Noisy. All doors difficult to close without slamming loudly so quite loud at night. Our room was very hot. Despite the heat turned off and outside temps cool, the room was always too warm. Not sure why. Place was clean tho.

Old world charm of the building; clean and comfortable. We found the room a bit warm at night, however, and were unable to control the temp (it's all centralized). The hotel does not offer any complimentary coffee - that would be nice.

Great location and friendly and helpful staff.
The location of this hotel is amazing and such a great gateway to what seems like everywhere. The reception staff were helpful and friendly and it was great to have a place to safely store your baggage on arrival day and check out day. The only thing I would say needs a little attention is once we were left without towels but it was rectified immediately once reception were aware. We had a junior suite with a balcony on the fourth floor which was brilliant and very roomy and lovely to sit and see and hear the sounds from the city below. If I had one small criticism it would be that the bathroom was beginning to look a little tired, though nothing at all wrong with the way it worked. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great Historic Barcelona Hotel
Nice hotel - convenient location. Loved the historic aspect of the hotel. They won’t let you check in before 3, so don’t even try. We got the 2 twin bed room option and it was the tiniest room ever. The twin beds were pushed together with only 1-2 feet on either side to walk around. Very clean!

This is a very nice old hotel, the staff very friendly and helpful. Most of all, the location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance. I would highly recommend it.

The hotel was well located close to the city centre. Was clean and staff helpful. The best service was given by Harmony in the dining area . Shout out to her!!! I would go back there for sure ! Just don’t forget to take your own coffee sachets for morning coffee.

This property is just a few minutes walking distance from metro, bus , shopping and restaurants. Although loud at night due to near Las Ramblas but worth it.

Great Location
Really cool building in a great location. Walking distance to most of Barcelona's must-sees, grocery stores, and restaurants. Staff was helpful though not overly friendly. Room was nice, but on the small side. Good internet. Nice shower.

Better First Time
This was our second stay at this conveniently located hotel. Our room was smaller this time, but still OK. However, our room was warm and it was hard to sleep at night. A person from Reception came to our room and got the thermostat set for cooling. But it still too warm to be really comfortable. The service was good and Reception ordered a cab to pick us up at 3:00 AM to go to the airport.

Was not the room I booked from the pictures in the website. Bathroom was not good for travelers. No room at sink, shower curtain too short so water woukd go everywhere. If you don’t sign up for breakfast for the next day. Was not told the first night when checking in so was not able to eat at hotel. Service in restaurant was very good. Coffee and juice was really nice. No one told us that we could not get a taxi between 10 am to12 pm. It is in a good location and lots of tourist. Hotel has some charm in the lobby.
