The property serves as a nice getaway. You get lost in its ambiance especially with the close proximity to the ocean. Soft sand with hints of pink coral in it. Was truly relaxing and enjoyable.

Delightful
This small hotel is delightful, quiet and with kind staff. All units face the ocean so you sleep with the sound of the surf. We would recommend it. A car is useful to have.

Review of a beautiful beach with resort potential
Beautiful beach. Great amenities. Not updated. Restaurant was just OK. It was sometimes open & sometimes not. There were a few better resorts nearby to visit for lunch or for the afternoon. Garbage around the resort was not picked up. So much more could be done with it. We all had so many bites it was crazy! We don’t know if it was from inside or outside.

Unfriendly staff who has no desire to help. No hot water in our room - none. Cold showers. Didn’t even bother to complain (we only stayed one night). The food at the restaurant was awful. You get what you pay for, so it’s not terribly surprising it was subpar.

No restaurant within miles. I got notification the day I arrived that their restaurant was not open, and not scheduled to be open for months. Hdd to rent a car at $70 a day to eat breakfast

The views and quiet at Unique Village were lovely. We walked on the beach and swam in the clear blue water every day. We almost never saw any other tourists on the beach. The pool was great as well. The drawbacks were that the restaurant was closed for all of our 9-day stay, and it was a 10-minute+ drive to any other restaurant or grocery. The roads are rough, and this was tiring. Plus the hotel manager doesn’t provide any essentials (bottled water, bug spray, sunscreen, food, etc), even for an additional charge. Getting enough water and food was a challenge throughout our stay. Still a very nice place, but hope the restaurant will be open when you’re there!

I stayed at unique village for a week soon as i landed saw the island was beautiful we had a great taxi driver as well name Mr pinder great taxi driver. any way he drove us into palmetto point we arrived at the hotel checked in put our bags up and proceeded to the restaurant for something to eat i ordered wings and fries . and a burger for the kids the fries was spot on delicious but the burger was burnt etc wings not seasoned properly. so am like maybe its my taste buds or am just jet lagged so took a shower which i never got any hot water since being the water was either cold or lukewarm. the next morning we woke up ordered the stew fish and stew conch,burrito and grits with links and eggs this was the worst food i have ever tasted to much thyme was in the stew and the grits was fresh and the eggs was awful .we had to dine out everyday to a different restaurant . we went in the pool the pool was unkept same dirty water along with some bugs and dead crabs in the pool . we also had the experience with mosquito and sandfly.Along with a trail of stinging ants in the room all over the floor. beautiful island but the stay at unique village was horrible and expensive.

Close to the beach which is beautiful. The pool was very dirty with dead crabs in it. It wasn’t cleaned in months. Many things in the hotel did not work. The restaurant is very expensive with poor food quality. Always empty even though there are not many dining options in the island.

Very nice hotel on the beach... with pink sands. Friendly staff and great food. One suggested improvement would be to improve the internet connectivity. It's a bit spoty and slow at time. Not a big deal, you won't want to be online once you get there. SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

Older hotel with minimal upkeep: the pool was closed, steps down to beach broken, outlets not working, the room hot until after midnight, mediocre food, but the room was large, had a big ocean view porch and was on a beautiful mile long beach. It is a remote location with only one dinner choice.

Nice hotel overlooking the beach The unique Village is a nice hotel offering spacious rooms with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The room was very clean and was cleaned daily immaculately. The bathroom is a little tight. We didn't have hot water for the first 4 days, but when there were more guests checked in the hot water was turned on. It didn't bother us too much, but it was nice to have some warm water at the end. We didn't use the restaurants, but rather prepared our breakfast in the room. The coffee and filters were replenished daily. The hotel is generous with beach towels. We always had 2 sets of 2 beach towels which we appreciated. The room has a tiny fridge and a small coffee maker so that you can store drinks and some breakfast food. Adding a small microwave would be great so that you can heat up food and alleviate the steep restaurant prices. The hotel beach is pretty nice, has a decent rock reef with a few corals for snorkeling. The pool is nice, and there is a very nice deck towards the stairs to the beach where you can enjoy the ocean view with a coffee or a drink. This is a quiet hotel at the end of a road through the N. Palmetto residential area.

Can't say enough nice things. Pauline the owner greeted my dad and I at reception. Instead of just giving us verbal directions and hoping we got to our villa she had us follow her. Who does that anymore? On Eleuthera they do!. I opened the door and literally gasped. The view from these rooms is simply spectacular. If you are someone that expects concierge service and a four-star room this may not be your place. But it's your loss. Everyone that works at this resort is incredibly kind and friendly and I felt like family. A little rust on the stove or an imperfect finish on a sink doesn't bother someone like me. It needs to be understood that everything is more expensive on an island because of shipping. It takes a lot of hard work and money to run these places. 30 second walk to a very private beach. The rooms were cleaned twice and impeccably so. With extra beach towels . This for $170 a night? Can't find it anywhere else.Location is excellent it is eight minutes to Governors Harbour, 40 minutes then Rock Sound and down a back road you can get to to Tippys in 5 minutes. The bed was very comfortable. My air conditioning unit in my room needed a little tlc but the ocean breeze through the screen worked for me. I will definitely stay again and I have fallen in love with Eleuthera. It is a special place with really good people. Thank you Pauline for a wonderful stay.

Exceptional stay among very friendly hotel staff
We stayed at the Unique Village hotel from 9/1/17 through 9/7/17; we had to leave one day early due to the impending hurricane Irma. Unique Village is a hotel but the feel of staying there is like a condo or resort. The check-in was effortless and quick. The staff were all very cordial and helpful with anything we needed throughout the week of our stay. The adjacent restaurant food is amaaaaazing; lunch and dinner prices are on par with the quality. The location of the hotel is the best! The beautiful beach is only a 1 minute walk in the back. We had our own "private" beach every day of our stay there; it is a gorgeous and serene beach; the waters are warm and crystal clear and blue. I fished most days there and caught bar jack, bonefish, and missed a tarpon :) You really don't have to venture far from the hotel to catch fish. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing, carefree vacation on a friendly island away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Nice quiet location
The rooms were very clean and looks just like the advertised pictures, however; the front desk service is very slow. Had to ring bell twice for check in service, and upon check out had to wait over 15 minutes and repeated bell ringing and still no agent showed up, so I left room key on desk. The restaurant service is also lacking. waited there over 10 minutes for service and eventually left. This hotel had great potential and the location is great, on the beach. Just needs a little cosmetic change on the outside (some fresh paint) and better customer service. When you step into the rooms, you get a big surprise as they are lovely and clean. In all, I think I got value for money. Will stay again.

We stayed here for two nights, during our down-island honeymoon trip and used it as our base to explore central and southern Eluethera We are long time travelers to the island(15+ years) to a home in N.Eluethera(Ridley Head-area) so have a good understanding of how things can be on the this lovely out-island. Due to some repair issues, at northern home, we had to call and change our check-in day, to a day later. This was done with no hassles. Booked through Expedia but called hotel direct. Arrived, rather late in the evening(7:30) no one was at front desk but rang bell and someone came down from restaurant/bar area(there is also now a number to call for late arrivals) Got key and walked to King suite and opened the door, not quite knowing what to expect... What a pleasant and GREAT surprise- Very clean and spacious room-Bathroom was also very clean with an adequate number of towels. Most everything a traveler, here, could hope for Coffee maker-with lots of cream and sugar AC, that did a fine job Mini-fridge that worked GREAT comfortable king bed and enough pillows for 4-5 guest (the 5 pound down comforter, while nice, is a bit over-kill for the tropics) Beach towels Comfortable couch Nice tile floors 42" or so TV with decent channel selection

Ended up arriving too late to register
We arrived late 8:30pm, do to travel delays. When we went to the office there was no emergency bell to ring, no emergence phone number to call......nothing. My wife and I are in our 70's had traveled from Orlando Florida. There was also a fellow traveler who also soon arrived. We talked to other guest who phoned the office number and just got the answering service. After an hour we left. We couldn't find another room on this remote island till 12:30am. They had and emergency number posted. We prepaid our room through Expedia and are requesting a refund. If there was a fire, serious medical emergency, accident etc. there was no way to contact anyone for help. Very very dangerious.

On a beautiful beach
We really enjoyed our stay. We booked the two bedroom cottage and shared with friends. They are right on the beach with steps down to the beach. The resort is rustic but clean enough and you should hire an SUV to explore the local area. Food was good in the restaurant.
