Pros: Position & charming staff
Cons: It needs a lot of money spending on it
If you're looking for the best hotel in Xlendi, you probably won't find anything better. However, if you're expecting 4-star comfort and facilities, you'll be disappointed. It's all a bit tired and in need of a facelift. It fits very nicely into the "faded glory" category. The standard courtyard view rooms are a little on the small size and with no outside views seem someone claustrophobic. Rooms are cleaned every day, but somehow they still appear a little grubby in places. Breakfast is fine, plenty of choices and decent quality. Parking is no problem. The main plus for the hotel is it's wonderful position - right on the waterfront with amazing views of the harbour - just perfect. Would I recommend this hotel - Yes, but not by choice, but by lack of it.

Xlendi - a "must"

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: Position, position, position - oh yes, friendly staff, great food at restaurant and due to early departure sent us on our way with sandwiches, etc.
Cons: Reposition it loser to Sydney Australia - also suppose bathroom needed bit of work but too many good things to worry about that!
Location: Perfect location opposite water, adjoining restaurants and bus at rear to Victoria and from there to anywhere else on the island.
Swimming, eating, relaxing 7 fabulous days. Beach and deep water swimming opposite hotel. Transport at rear, restaurants everywhere. Very reasonably priced for everything.

Nice hotel right on the fromt

No complaints about this hotel except for the lost opportunity of the top deck pool area. It has the most excellent views but it is badly neglected. The pool itself is no more than a plunge pool really - which is fine; there are basic sunloungers, and small hard towels can be obtained from reception (if you remember before you make your way up). There have been nice plants but they are all dead. Drinks and food can be brought up with a charge of €3 if you call on a phone. It could easily be made to look pretty, add parasols, classy loungers and good big towels on tap, then a wee fully staffed bar and it could be a fabulous wee gem. Staff are helpful and friendly. The room and ensuite are clean enough, with a fridge and tea making facilities. It was no problem to have an ironing board provided. Overall I would recommend.

very good value for money.

Pros: located in the heart of Zlendi & reception staff very friendly, Easy access for buses to rest of island
Location: Victoria is charming with lovely back streets & citadel. Walking in March was fantastic/carpets of wild flowers on cliffs/alive with bees
We chose a room with a valley view but would have been happy with a room with an internal view as we spent very little time in the room. Zlendi is a good base for a walking holiday.

fabulous location in a lovely bay, hotel itself is very dated, the room smelled damp, the bed uncomfortable, and in the morning there were little things crawling on the floor. was glad to only have booked the one night.

Lovely hotel right on Xlendi Bay - recommended

Posted Nov 11, 2016 on Hotels
I love this hotel - it is classy and clean with really friendly staff and good sized rooms which are well furnished and comfortable. It's worth paying a bit more for a room which overlooks Xlendi bay, or the valley if not, and avoiding the rooms which only open out into the internal light well. There are some amazing photographs of Xlendi in the 1960s/1970s on display in Reception - it's fascinating to see how much and how little it has changed. The staff in the hotel were friendly and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. There was a nice selection of freshly prepared food for breakfast each morning. There is also an outside seating/eating area right on the sea front. There is a very large and free carpark behind the hotel as well.

Pleasant stay.

Location: Beautiful valley. Bus route will quickly get you into Victoria and then anywhere on the island.
Location easy to get to. Hotel of character of the older style but quite well maintained. Only complaint was the shower head needed a bit of TLC but the water was hot. Room very clean. We were half board and the food on offer was good. Would recommend a stay here.
