Decent city hotel for the beach and portPosted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: Location to port, city beach, bus station. Facilities were adequate for a tourist stay with rooftop dip pool, small but serviceable gym on 24th floor.
Cons: Reception staff English for some and responding to queries.
Location: Near the port for cruise ships, bus station, a shopping centre Short walk to beach and various restaurants and bars.
We stayed 1 week as a tourist couple at this distinctive and rather dated looking hotel from the outside. It was a comfortable stay with a decent size clean double bedroom, massive TV, minibar and in room wifi (for a smallish fee). Air conditioning was a bit underpowered and the room was a little tired in spots but otherwise perfectly serviceable. The breakfast buffet in the 23rd floor dining room was OK if a bit limited and repetitive but with good quality ingredients (eg. juices, fruit, pastries). Staff in general were OK and willing to help but there was a bit of lack of English at reception for 1 member of staff exemplified when trying to resolve where some pyjamas had disappeared to! It was resolved by the next day with an apologetic offering of chocolates. Location is quite central but a long walk or short bus ride from the Triana tourist and shopping area. A bus or taxi ride are 40 to 20 minutes to the airport.

City centre hotel better for business usersPosted Mar 14, 2017 on Ebookers
Pros: Free airport transfer, comfortable bed.
Cons: Indifference of most Reception staff, general organisation, breakfast buffet, wardrobe space in room - we could go on!
Location: Beach nearby, many restaurants, Vegueta Old Town and Triana with variety of shops a short taxi ride away.
Too many disatisfactions to list here. Will be writing to Marriott in detail.

No wifiPosted Feb 22, 2017 on Hotels
Lovely hotel, very clean and rooms were spacious as well as comfortable, however Wifi was a big let down as I was relying on this to plan my holiday, hotel charges €8 per night for Wifi which is so expensive and is generally free.

+: modern, clean room, central location -: large street runs opposite the hotel, which can be loud even at night

Pros: Pool, room, location, views

Comfortable room and useful locationPosted Jan 12, 2017
Pros: Nice sized room, the wooden floor and fittings are nice. Very comfortable bed. Good shower and bathroom.
Cons: The air conditioning just about coped but might not be good enough in mid-summer. Breakfasts rather overpriced, local cafes cheaper and more fun.
Location: Very well located for restaurants on the coast a short walk away. The bus terminal is close by, but be aware that the main terminal is at San Telmo.
Stayed here for one week on vacation. The height of the hotel is useful if you are looking for it from somewhere in the central area by the port. It looks a bit ugly from outside but the interior is fine.

Convenient but over pricedPosted Dec 27, 2016
I have used this hotel a few times as convenient but it's very overpriced wouldn't say 4 star Ordered room service club sandwich and cheesecake A plate of cheese arrived and some tuna and lettuce in pitta bread arrived it was horrible left it, the Ac very noisy but couldn't open balcony door as wasn't sliding and would tear of hindges in wind on the 13 floor Had to complain about room as gave us single beds when we had booked double

ok hotelPosted Dec 25, 2016 on Hotels
It was fine. Having to pay separately for wifi is a down point. Very nice location and no other major problems. Well, the way to the pool is weird and no bathrobe or slippers in the room. The pool closes very early at 6pm. These are small issues though.

Buffet is not worth it! The mattress was soft and so were the pillows giving us a back ache.
