Robbed in our room by the cleaner.

Pros: Very good until then.
Cons: Staff vetting
Location: Hotel buses into Las Palmas every hour or so during the day and local buses very cheap. Prices seem about half the price of Lanzarotte for meals,
We were on the patio and a cleaner came to clean whislt we were there. After she left, 320 Euros had been taken from our bedroom. The Sterling and other stuff was all still there, just the Euros went missing. Daft thing was that she took all the Euros which made it so obvious when we went in the room just after she left, leaving us no money to spend. Luckily, I always make sure my wife has at least 50 Euros in case we are robbed and that just saw us onto the plane the next day after paying for an evening meal by card. There were security cameras and no-one else went in our out. She was new and they had done no checks before letting her into the complex to clean on her own. We spent most of our last day at the local Police Station and although we got 200 back from our insurance, we feel it was a disgusting way to be treated that they wouldn't re-imbure us, as it wasn't in their safe. If a cleaner asks you if you they can clean, you don't expect or think to say "Wait a moment while I lock everything away" and shut everything in the safe.

Dear Sir/Madam, We are sorry for the bad experience. Hotels cannot be held responsible for personal belongings not stored in the room safe. We are sure you will understand the reasons behind this universal policy. The resort Team tried to help you as much as possible, the manager advising you on how to proceed, taking you to the police station in his own car, acting as interpreter and assisting you at all times. He then assisted Police with the investigation to the best of his abilities. While we understand your disappointment, we are afraid that is the best we can do.

Not as happy as first time I stayed here

Good location, but poor parking , unless you have a car or willing to get cabs it's hard to go anywhere , there is also two standards of rooms the ones with older decor or the refub ones, it's pot luck which one you get Internet is very poor but you still get charged if your able to log on even for a few mins, no refunds Bottom rooms by the road can be very noisy at weekends with bikers thinking it's brands hatch Staff are polite and helpful but the male staff can be hard work Stayed here afew times but willnt be staying again the - out weigh the +

Good base for exploring the island. A car is a must though. Parking can be an issue.

The apartment and staff were very good, the pool is heated the only down side was the location. It was away from nightlife, restaurants and bars,. There was a bus to the beach and this only cost 2 euros for a return trip. WiFi and food / drink were expensive at the resort

Needs updating

Location: The next bay round Porto Mogan is beautiful and has a white sandy beach and full facitities. A good spot for visiting all attractions and sights.
The room was very tired and in desperate need of updating the furniture in the living area was very stained and dirty there was a water leak through the ceiling in the kitchen and the outside terrace flooded when it rained heavily due to blocked drains. The bedroom was fine beds comfortable and linen clean, with plenty of storage. The bathroom again was shabby and a little grubby as a result, it was cleaned twice during our 9 day stay, which was satisfactory. The towels were clean and also changed twice. The excellent tv constantly lost sound and you had to call reception to reboot which was irritating. There was internet access but only at a cost of 7,95Euros per day which was extortionate and as only needed for occasional data usage we didn't bother, in this day and age you would expect it to be included or at least at a reasonable price. There was a safe in the room but again it was an additional 2Euros a day. We were a very long way from the exit up several flights of stairs which was ok for us but would be difficult for anyone less able, there are 2 separate lifts to get up and down but often out of order. Our apartment was next to the very busy main road with bars of security fencing around & the walkway ran directly in front so felt a bit like we were animals in a zoo. Also it wasn't in Mogan but Taurito the next bay round and much less attractive. Parking was almost impossible close by, had to park most days at bottom of steep, long hill, not ideal with bags.

Great relaxing experience

Pros: Cleanliness,fun staff.
Cons: Air ventilation in lift,glass front made them like greenhouse,
Location: A great location ,not too loud and close to prettiest port on the island.mountain roads a bit scary.
Stayed at Cala blanca for week in April ,weather superb ,comfortable apartment,only negatives were that we were on the ground floor and as such had security fencing obscuring our views across the bay slightly and the car parking could be a bit troublesome.Staff really friendly ,a++.

Nice tidy and clean hotel but poor parking

For the money this hotel is hard to fault, good location for the beaches of Porto Rico and town of Morgan, all apt have view of the coast and whist the pool area is not that big it is but tidy and clean, we were given a newly updated 1 bed apartment which whist basic was of a good size and clean, unless you intend to stay in 24/7 a car is needed or be perpared to gets lots of cabs. The staff were very helpful at all times. The only real downside is the parking which is limited and at busy time expect to have to park at the bottom of the hill which is a bit of a pain and not a nice walk when dark as the pavement is in poor condition

Nice apartment with friendly staff. We had been before so knew what to expect. Good bus service to other parts of the island.
