Nice secure high quality hotel

Posted Oct 21, 2016
Pros: Cheerful helpful staff. Beautiful gardens.
Cons: Carpets in some public areas beginning to fray.
Location: Secure clean beach with safe swimming. Boat and submarine excursions. Bicycle hire available.
We had a week out of UK school holidays when the hotel was full but not crowded. Excellent choice of food in the buffet restaurant and the meal in the à la cartel restaurant Guayres was excellent. Mogan is a pretty port with many independent restaurants and cafes.

Good 4 star hotel.

Posted Oct 19, 2016
Various blocks of bedrooms with a central hub on a couple of levels, containing reception, bars and main restaurant, which is used for breakfast and dinner. The latter had two sittings and the room was cleaned and food replenished between sittings. Seating allocated on first visit to restaurant but probably could be changed if requested. Breakfast was "find your own table" and not difficult. Had little cause to use reception but anything required was provided. Two swimming pools, both attractive, with one used mainly by oldies - us - and the other more lively with parents and children. The restaurant buffet and breakfast were both very good with plenty of variety. Restaurant staff always pleasant and smiling. There is an a la carte restaurant but that was a disappointment. The menu was limited, not a bad thing, but unimaginative and frankly the main restaurant food was just as good. It was expensive for what it was and after one visit we gave it a miss. It is an easy ten minute stroll to the seaside with various cafe/bars, a harbour and a small sandy beach. The rooms are clean and a good size. Each had a small balcony. Shower head over the bath kept slipping down but problem sorted with a plastic bag tied to the top. Would be happy to return.

Great hotel in great location

Posted Oct 15, 2016
Pros: The location, layout of the hotel and staff.
Cons: Nothing
Location: 10 minutes slow walk to the beach/harbour, lots of restaurants to choose from. A drive into the Mountains is worthwhile for the fantastic views.
The hotel was large but well spaced out so it did not feel too big or crowded. The location is great with just a short walk (10 minutes) to the beach/harbour. The staff in all departments were friendly and helpful and the entire hotel was spotless.

Geweldig hotel

Posted Oct 13, 2016
Heel fijn hotel. Prachtige tuin. Vriendelijk personeel.

Cons: Es gibt nichts, was einer Verbesserung bedürfe. Weiter so!

Lovely hotel

Posted Aug 25, 2016
Pros: Food, grounds, room, staff
Cons: More entertainment for adults
Location: A bit quieter than other parts of the island, nice restaurants, fantastic weekly market, ferry trips a good way to explore nearby coastal resorts
Very friendly helpful staff, we particularly liked the lovely gardens with tropical plants. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent with an impressive array of local and continental style dishes to choose from. Overall the hotel was great for families but could have offered more for couples, i.e. entertainment for adults rather than "mini disco" and children's entertainment in the disco bar. Would have been nice to have access to facilities such as table tennis (one table only) and bowling alley without having to wait until the children had lost interest, could not get into either of the two pools due to children taking over. Would visit again but not in school holidays!

Lovely hotel, nice location

Posted Aug 18, 2016
Pros: Location, layout, cleanliness, staff, food
Cons: Nothing
Location: The hotel is close to the beach and marina, where you can find lots of restaurants and local shops. There is a Spar nearby and the bus station too.
Stayed for a week on half board basis. Staff extremely friendly, good food and plenty of choices. Pool area never too crowded, always enough sunbeds. Room was spacious and cleaned thoroughly every day. There was a choice of welcome drinks, and we were even offered coffee and breakfast at 4 am when leaving to the airport! Well impressed, would highly recommend this hotel.

Good 4 star hotel, excellent staff. Clean and well managed. Good variety of food that is fresh and varied but dinner is served either at 18.30 or 20.30. Try and get a table outside for breakfast and dinner. There are masses of restaurants a short walk away if you are undecided about taking half board. There is a supermarket over the road which means you can buy water etc and use the fridge in your room. The pool area is busy and congested but there are grass areas with some shade that have a few loungers on.
