Stayed in my Paula. Off beaten track ....Posted Aug 30, 2014
Nice villa but u need car as quite remote. Beds rock hard and furniture functional but Ikea so not great quality. Sat TV consists of sky news or CNN. Pool size of large bath. Lovely quite location but Sheraton buffet overpriced 35 euros for dinner and very samey. Eat in Menelerous or Puerto Rico. Recommend Monaco on Amoerderes beach. Visit Puerto Mogan very pretty!

Quiet, peaceful luxuryPosted Jun 21, 2014
If you want a quiet, secluded villa with all the mod cons then this is the place for you. The Myside villas are the best ones. NB you will need a car here also if you need to be bars, restaurants and clubs then this is not the place for you.

High quality resort, great for family holidaysPosted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Quiet and scenic location, good quality accommodation, use of hotel facilities.
Cons: Child-proofing of villas, unheated pools and lack of information in the villas about the local area and the facilities on offer at the hotel.
Location: Shopping and sand dunes at Maspalomas, quiet beach and watersports at Taurito, pretty harbour and family-friendly beach at Playa Mogan.
The resort is in a peaceful inland location, easily accessible from the airport. The villas were generally well kept and pretty well-equipped, with plenty of space for families, although some additional child-proofing precautions would be welcome (watch out for doors facing on to the swimming pool which kids can open from the inside)! Staff were very helpful and the proximity to the Sheraton Salobre Hotel is useful as it allows guests to access the pool, bars and restaurants.

Nice family friendly placePosted Apr 4, 2013
Pros: We stayed in a Villa with our own swimming pool and good privacy in a wonderful location.
Cons: They could have done a much better job of changing the bedding and doing to clean of the Villa for longer stays.
Location: Great place for fun in the sun, golfing and good family quality time.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful during our stay. I did feel though that a better job could have been done in respect of changing the bedding and cleaning the Villa where your stay is in excess of 3 days.

Not for FamiliesPosted Jun 1, 2010
We stayed in a two bed villa with a pool, on arrival the villa was in very good condition and clean, the pool was a small plunge pool, but adequate enough to cool off in. The amenitities within the villa were excellent, everything you needed away from home and I would say that this is important with this resort. The nearest town was 26 Euro's in a cab there and back. The on-site restaurant closed at 8pm (which is a shame as the food is lovely), bar closed at 9pm! We stayed for a duration of 2 weeks, and only had our towels and bed linen change once, fortunately as there were only two of us we did have spare towels in another bathroom. During the day it's very quiet and relaxing, perfect for a couple needing to get away from it all, but there is nothing for children to do. The staff are ok, we found one helpful receptionist during our 2 week stay, however, the golf guys are great. We were lucky and had lovely weather during our stay, a car is definately recommended - however, I would not in anyway, shape or form recommend "Record Car" They were without doubt the most unhelpful people that I have ever come across. The car was in very poor condition and we sometimes wondered if it would make the 2 week period. There are many golf courses within the area, so perhaps shop around, whilst the villa was very good, there was nothing to do not even pitch&put. We had a very relaxing time, which was our aim, but had the weather not been good this would not have been a good 2 weeks

Comfort and LuxurtPosted Jan 18, 2009
Very nice resort and villa.Staff helpful and friendly. Good place to get away from the hustle and bustle. However as others have mentioned, there is only Spanish TV to be had. Also wouldn't recommend renting the modem for internet access, as it is very slow. You will definitely need a car, as the complex is geared towards golfers only. Would definitely recommend it though for the sheer space and great views of the hills!

Good value for familiesPosted Jan 10, 2009
Villas lovely. Friendly staff. Regular cleaning. (3 days) Plus point: restaurant delivered from menu both lunch and dinner and free kids club at hotel, general store at entrance to resort, safe enclosed garden. Negative point: to use heated hotel pools and spa expensive. Unheated pool at villa. Overall enjoyable but need a car to get to beach and around resort.

Stay away from this one - especially in the winter..Posted Jan 2, 2009
The villa was freezing cold when we arrived. To add to the misery most of the heaters did not work - nor were they fixed during our 1 week stay. So overall a very cold experience. The pool is not heated - so no escaping the cold there! Outside temperatures ranged from 15 to 22 degrees during the week. Generally we would expect a 5 star accommodation to be preheated and welcoming, but this complex appeared desolate and uninviting. The villas are otherwise nice and practical - but lack character as you may expect from a golf style property project. Location may work if you are only there to play golf. Otherwise make sure you have enough cars. Re golf the south course is very good, the north course a crazy monster as very limited cost spent on fairways between the rocks and ravines.

Incredible views, luxury villaPosted Oct 19, 2007
Villas Salobre is truly magical. The view are just incredible. Built into the mountains, the golf course is the centre feature and the villas sit dotted up the hills on either side. Our villa was in 'Las Tabaibas', we had the first one which was not overlooked at all (some of them are). The villa was front and side so you could look out over the views. Inside the furniture and style is modern, clean and impressive. The only issue really was the very hard double bed!! Outside there is a decking area with private pool (very cold!!) It was private and very well kept. The view make it and the golf course is amazing, we went round in the buggy on the last day and my husband loved it! It is also a short ride to the beach and resort of La Meloneras which is upmarket and has a good choice of shops and restaurants - it will cost you 7-10 euros in a cab. Only advice would be to take a mobile - they don't provide you one in the room and if you need to speak to reception you can't without one! You also need a car, it is too far to walk anywere, though we need see people had hired golf buggies to get round the golf resort. I would highly recommend this place. We had a fantastic holiday.
