Hotel was quiet and a great location for Albacin, al hambra and tapas by the river. The hotel offers only b&b which is what we wanted, a 3 feels a little low, especially as you everything is nearby!

full mod cons in a beautiful period building

Posted Aug 17, 2016
Pros: Location and very helpful staff
Cons: I cannot think of anything
Location: Great location. very close to centre of town. Only five minutes walk.
Staff were fantastic. very helpful and most spoke English. The hotel is a former 15th century Mansion and a lot of the original features including the fountain and ornate pool in the foyer remain. There is full mod cons including air conditioning. It is directly opposite the Alhambra with great views.

Historic hotel

Posted Jul 30, 2016
Pros: Good location, friendly, helpful staff
Cons: Flowers, nice furniture and quality rugs everywhere but especially in the entry foyer
Location: Walking distance to everything Granada has to offer - the old town, cathedral, churches, museums and The Alhambra
This historic hotel built as a large house in the 1100's, the time of the Moors, is interesting, but limited by its age. It is well located in the old town centre of Granada and just a walk uphill to the Alhambra. Very clean and comfortable without being luxurious, wonderful bed. Some flowers and comfortable seating in the entry foyer would relieve the spartin impression as you arrive.

Beautiful hotel, historic location.

Posted Jun 7, 2016
Pros: Great location, updated and fine amenities, historic, good staff.
Cons: Nothing of significance.
Location: Near the old town center and walking distance (but uphill!) to the Alhambra.
The Casa Morisca is wonderful! Historic old hotel in a 16th century building, near (but below) the Alhambra. Lovely Moorish design, inside a courtyard. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the Alhambra. Big, updated bathroom, comfortable bed, A/C. Staff is attentive and helpful. Parking onsite at no charge. Pricey, but worth the cost. Highly recommended.

The perfect place for touring Granada

Posted May 31, 2016
Pros: In an excellent position, this is a quiet, typically Spanish small hotel, with a peaceful atmosphere and an unobstrusive but very helpful staff.
Cons: Do not come expecting a modern, bustling or busy hotel!
Location: It is off one of the most attractive streets in Granada, at the foot of the Alhambra, and just 8 minutes stroll of restaurants, Cathedral etc.
In a very quiet position, within easy walking distance of all of Granada's attractions, this small, quaint traditional hotel is a perfect base for touring Granada. Quirky, but very comfortable rooms open directly into into a cool and attractive central courtyard. A friendly and knowledgeable concierge is on duty 24 hours a day, with a mine of useful advice for guests on anything from restaurants to flamenco dancing shows. Breakfast is served in an old barrel ceilinged cellar, and includes fresh fruit and orange juice, cold meats and cheeses, pastries and eggs cooked off to order. And, unusually for Granada, free street parking is provided.

Belle situation pour visiter l'alhambra

Très bien situé au pied de la colline de l'alhambra et de l'Albacyn. Parking gratuit appréciable dans cette zone pietonne. Un très joli cadre avec patio intérieur.

Brilliant location, free parking

Posted Apr 26, 2016
Pros: Location, parking, lovely old building sympathetically converted into an hotel.
Cons: Aircon available once the heating goes off
Location: Perfect for everything a tourist wants to see in Granada.
I chose this hotel for its location and free parking right outside the door. An unusual combination in this part of the city. It was just perfect on this score. On arrival, we were offered a discount to accept a lower standard room which did not have a street view. This worked out as extremely good value, but the room was exceedingly hot. It seems that, in April, the heating and aircon are both OFF in the hotel, ie the weather is deemed not to need either. Well, the website didn't say that, and neither did the bloke on reception!! Our inside facing room had no access to a fresh air flow, which caused us to "fry". But we did get a good deal, so can't complain. The staff were charming.

Weekend to Granada.

Posted Apr 21, 2016 on Hotels
Went for to Granada to see the wonderful Alhambra and stayed in the Casa Morisca for two nights - absolutely beautiful hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff - in a quiet location but near to everything you could possibly require - hotel staff ordered us a taxi to get back to the airport and were eager to make sure our stay was a good one. Would definitely recommend and return to this Hotel.
