Hotel Molinos was incredibly good value for money. The location is good if you want to be close to the centre and the old quarter. I walked up to the Alhambra twice, taking the steepest path, and it only took me 10 mins, however if you are not good with hills there are less steep routes and also the little minibuses go from the Plaza Isobel which is only 5 mins from the hotel, past the hotel, I think there may a bus stop in the hotel street but I walked everywhere. I took the bus from the airport to the Cathedral, 3 euros and 7 mins walk to the hotel. I had a room on the front but I wish I had packed my eye mask as there was a lot of street light at night. Blackout curtains would be good. Also it would be good to have some net curtains on the first floor (101)as I felt a lack of privacy if I opened the curtains fully. Alhambra tip: you can download a guide app online, I am pleased I did as it gave me a chance to look through the routes and attractions before my visit. Alhambra is so huge it can be a bit overwhelming but a member of staff suggested I start at Alcazaba, then Palace Carlos V, then Nasrid Palaces (I booked my time at the Nasrid Palaces for 1.5 hours after my entry time which worked just fine for me) and then made my way to Generalife.
