Nice hotel, but a few problems

I love that La Quinta is dog friendly and this is certainly not their fault, but there were too many dogs that were left alone all day long. In one particular room, they whimpered, barked and scratched until midnight and it was right down the hall from us. The staff was as helpful as they could be and tried to contact the owners, but they would not answer. It happened two days/nights in a row. They would quiet down, but any noise, such as a door closing or people walking by, would set them off. I felt very sorry for those poor dogs. I know for a fact that one day there were in there for over 8 hours alone. That should certainly be warranted to have an extra expense charge added to their bill.
Also, ask for the 3rd floor. You can hear all the walking above your and it's major pounding in the middle of the night that wakes you up when people come home or are going to the bathroom.
Other than that, the staff is wonderful and very helpful. The rooms are clean.

I remember this incident quite well because we did end up needing to repair carpet because of it. I am really sorry that another guest's dog was so rowdy when you were here. I don't know if my front desk staff contacted the owner but I do know they contacted me that night. I let them know to try and get a hold of the guest and knock on their door. I am sorry that our efforts were not as effective as I wish they would have been. I hope that you give our location another chance and stay with us again in the future.
