Good location, pricey for what you get

Posted Jul 23, 2016
It's a great location to explore the Grand Canyon and I think that's what reflects the high prices. You would never pay $250 a night to stay in a hotel like this anywhere else. Nothing was bad about the hotel as such, it was clean, the room was fairly small nothing major to report, but it's not a beautiful family vacation resort. We stayed one night to get 2 days of hiking in and I'm glad we didn't splurge on two nights.

Nice hotel

This hotel was a great stop off point for our visit to the Grand Canyon. The room was clean and comfortable. We had the buffet breakfast which was good and reasonably priced. The hotel gift shop was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is Not Your Father's Best Western

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Located right outside the entrance of the South Rim, this is not a North Rim Hotel as Expedia erroneously suggests. While it is only 17.35 miles from the Nort Rim for cross flying from one to the other, us humans need to drive over 200 miles around the Canyon. As for the hotel itself, Best Western's Premier designation is accurate; this is not your dad's Best Western. The fascinating photos of the Grand Canyon's yesteryear will have you studying the walls of the hallways and your room. The rock garden scene of a cowboy lassoing a steer in the rear lobby may sound hokey, but it is not. Instead,MIG is both stunning and tasteful. I loved this hotel and I am a seasoned traveler.

We appreciate you writing and posting your comments regarding your recent stay with us. As you mention, we are just minutes to the south rim entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park. We are pleased that you like our photos and sculptures depicting the early days of the Grand Canyon. We have tried to bring some of the history of the canyon to our hotel to share with our guests. We thank you for staying with us and for your recommendation. We hope that you have many memories of your visit and that you plan to come back again sometime soon.

Hotel acceuillant et proche du Grand Canyon

Posted Jul 12, 2016

A nice stay

Posted Jul 12, 2016
We had a good experience here. The room was clean but the room and bathroom seemed a bit outdated for the price. The beds was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was quite expensive, and I didn't think it was worth the money. The location was excellent.

Staff's knowledge varies

Posted Jul 9, 2016
Some front staff didn't know where the closest ice machine was or how to access certain part of the property. Game room was empty and no staff was around. The bowling alley was closed. Exercise room is very small and smelly. Jacuzzi water was dirty. The major construction was going on the property and we had a view of the construction site. The waiter in the restaurant didn't know the ingredients of the dish I ordered and I accidentally ate nuts that I am allergic to. I had skin rash for a few days. Breakfast buffet is not included in the room rate and it looked like any other motel food. We went to a Mexican restaurant close by and had a nice meal. Having a big jet bath in the room was great after a long hike. Towels were all clean and fairly new.

Nice hotel, near the park.

Posted Jul 8, 2016
Location: There's the entire grand canyon park!
Slightly overpriced I felt. Not a lot of facilities to talk about. Not even someone to show your room. No big complaints otherwise.
