Beautiful hotel

Posted Jan 21, 2016
I enjoyed the good price of cocktails. No free breakfast and the price of a continental breakfast for 1 adult and 1 child is $25 a little expensive for not much. Otherwise very good

Prefect location.

Loved the view from the third floor. Able to play in the snow right on the property. Staff was very pleasant. Had a nice relaxing night in the lounge

Close to restaurants

This place has very thin walls, you can hear everything. If you stay here get a room on the top floor.

It was normal hotel wouldent go there again

I booked with doubletree to enjoy the indoor spa and pool and they came up with the excuse it wasn't functioning due to waiting for parts to replace it, so what is our fault as customers...do we get a discount? NO, and by the way their carpets are old

Please accept our apologies that our indoor whirlpool had a mechanical difficulty during your stay. Our goal is that all of our guests will be able to enjoy all of our amenities during their stay including our 2 restaurants, bar, room service, shuttle, indoor whirlpool, gym, sauna, (seasonal) outdoor pool and jacuzzi. We do our best to ensure all amenities are available and in great working order. We want our guests to be happy and to fully enjoy their stay. We will continue to work towards that goal.

Not a good place to get sleep

Posted Jan 6, 2016
Pros: The lobby appearance.
Cons: Noise-something needs to be done like spacing guests out until they can thicken the walls.
Location: 2-3 miles to downtown
The facility is in good condition mostly and should be a 3 star. However, there is no insulation between rooms. We were kept up until 3am and woken at 5am by screaming kids and people stomping around all night. In addition the temperature was unbearably hot and the thermostat wouldn't go down (note it was winter).

We appreciate your valuable feedback and apologize that the noise of your neighbors disturbed your stay. Though typically not an issue, we are happy to intervene on our guests' behalf to request others to be more respectful and considerate. Many also find staying in the back building a quieter location, as it's farther from the lobby and entrance areas. Please feel free to make a room request upon check-in.

Great stay, phone in the restroom was cool but the parking sucked. I will stay here again. Close to restaurants and other shops.

Close to downtown flagstaff.

Posted Jan 2, 2016
Pros: Free wifi and free parking.
Cons: Better lighting for the entrance off of the main road at night.
Nice hotel and we had a great view of the mountains on the 4th floor. One bad thing is you can hear the train when it passes but not too bad. The train track run through the north part of Flagstaff so the only way to get away from it is to stay south of town but you are away from the main part of town. On the plus the hotel is very well insulated and it is very quite in your room. Very nice staff and didn't have any issues getting extra amenities. We ate at the onsite Sakura restaurant and it was good. We didn't have reservation and had to wait about 1 1/2 hours which wasn't bad since we just went back up to our room so make reservations early.

Nice hotel, will consider again

Posted Dec 31, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Provide free breakfast with the room or give a option to add breakfast with the room for a fee (reasonable)
Good hotel clean room, overall great experience. Staff was coordinating and helpful. Breakfast with the room would have been great but the hotel was upfront about this while booking so this was not a surprise.

disappointing stay

Posted Nov 29, 2015
Pros: I would not stay there again to many good hotels in flagstaff
We were just trying to have a nice night in flagstaff "mini vacation". Picked this hotel because they had a spa and a nice restraint. 1) check in time listed on Expedia web-sight 4:00 pm this information was not available till after I had paid. "no refund" I would not have picked this hotel if I knew that. (I will not use Expedia any more because of that) 2) The spa was out of order 3) Arrived at the hotel a little before 4:00 was told there was a buffet took our stuff to our room went down to the buffet and was told it just closed. Was told by staff they would be serving diner in the restaurant at 5:00. 4)Just after 5:00 we walk in to the restraint and was told there was a 45 minute wait but only only two table were occupied the place was empty. Got one of the managers and complained. Ended up ordering Pizza.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience experienced over the holiday. Our Thanksgiving Champagne Brunch did end at 3pm and Thanksgiving Plated Dinner started service at 5pm. We've followed up with our Director of Food and Beverage and will ensure service staff is trained for these special service days.
