Nice Hotel

Posted May 7, 2017
Close to US 40. Easy access to to shopping at mall on US 89. Parking a little tight would be my only complaint.

Old fashioned excellence

Posted May 5, 2017
A real surprise. In the middle of a complete renovation it has much of its old fashioned charm remaining. Rooms are really big. All the amenities are there and will be updated. Main office/lounge/restaurant area has been very tastefully updated. Great food and service.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful, cheerful staff

Posted Apr 26, 2017
Pros: I loved the clean, and spacious rooms.
Location: We stayed here as our base of operations to see the Grand Canyon and Hoover dam.
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The hotel and the grounds were absolutely beautiful, and the staff was very cheerful and helpful with anything we needed. I recommend this hotel 100%, and would definitely stay here again.

Reasonable access to the Grand Canyon

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: The large rooms, swimming pool, and exercise room. It was a comfortable place to be.
Cons: Not much. Perhaps the meal prices in the restaurant could have been somewhat modified.
Location: As mentioned above - the grand canyon.
The people of Flagstaff and of the Hotel were most friendly and helpful. Flagstaff is an extremely clean and tidy city. The organization at the Grand Canyon was exceptional. A great place to visit and see God's creation.

Transported Back To 1960...In A Good Way!

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Pros: Immaculate rooms, obvious attention to detail in maintaining the property.
Cons: An elevator, but that's a minor quibble and don't let that stop you from staying here.
Location: Convenient to the highway central to Grand Canyon, Sedona, Monument Valley. The scenery is awesome in every direction.
I loved this hotel, its become a favorite. The rooms were spotless and looked as if they were newly constructed in 1960. From the green tile in the bathroom, the White French Provincial bedroom set and furnishings, even the smell took us back to 1960. The rooms were spotless and large, with a generous sitting area where a couch, two chairs and a table reside. The large bathroom was spotless, grout lines were clean and crisp as new with marble counters. A large, oval cast iron tub for two with a shower was an added bonus. It was remarkable, it was obvious these were installed 50+ years ago but had been maintained so well that their age didn't show at all! Modernities like a water-saving toilet, USB ports in the clock, large flat screen with HBO and free WiFi meant that stepping back in time didn't mean losing the conveniences we have come to expect today. Only caveat, no elevator to the second floor made lugging my admittedly too huge suitcase up the stairs.

An oasis in Flagstaff

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Pros: Everything was just fine...beautiful location and a great breakfast venue!
Location: Location just off I-40 is perfect for the weary traveler. Downtown Flagstaff and especially the Lowell Observatory were very nice.
Being from Cheyenne we were very familiar with Little America and Earl Holding's story...a great American entrepreneur. To see the friendly Sinclair sign as we pulled off of I-40 was refreshing as we were getting low on gas. The front desk was very helpful in giving ideas of what to see during our short stay and we enjoyed seeing old town Flagstaff. Our room was very comfortable and when we left the next morning, we were greeted at the front desk by two older gentlemen dressed in suits (!!) and extremely professional. All in all, we had a great stay and look forward to telling the staff in Cheyenne of our experience.
