value for money

Pros: value for money & location
Cons: slow flush toilet & noise AC
Location: Grand Canyon
The check-in staff was willing to smell; added a bit chill on the cold day. The rest of staff were great. breakfast was delicious and fresh.

Pros: Proximity to highway and Grand Canyon. Reasonable rates.
Location: Town of Williams is quaint and worth exploring
Stayed overnight on our way to Grand Canyon National Park. Helpful staff. Took the tie to make sure road to the canyon was open before we left.

A very bad experience

Posted Jan 6, 2016
Prior to arriving we called the front desk and asked wether there were any grills for barbecue available for the guests. They said yes. So we did shoppings and prepared our dinner for a group barbecue. Around 9-10pm when we could not find any grills on site we asked for help from the front desk people and they said, oh sorry, it seems like the grills are not available anymore! We were really upset and of course all our dinner plans were cancelled. The young lady at the front desk promised to connect us to the manager in the morning by sending him a note/message. In the morning we found out she never talked to her manager about our complaint and also there was no managers on site to listen to us when we were checking out.

The hotel looks quite new. My room was facing the freeway and I am surprised that it was not noisy at all. I am a person who is very sensitive to noise. The only negative during my stay is the shower curtain, which refused to stay in the close position. Overall, it's better than the typical 2-star motels.

Unpleasant!

Posted Jan 3, 2016
I feel so bad. I told the guy at the front desk that the heater was too noisy at midnight, but there was no action. So I had to go to front desk. After my complaint, he gave me some blankets without appropriate apology. So, I asked him provide some kind of portable heater. My complaint is his attitude. And also, the bathroom sink and bathtub were clogged. It was terrible.

Hot water

Posted Dec 30, 2015
We had no hot water for two days. The manager gave us a discount but that still didn't help with not being to shower in comfort. Breakfast was so crowded and guests were touching the food and putting it back. We went out for breakfast.

More than 2-star

Location: Lowell observatory
We stayed here one night on the way to Monument Valley from LA. It was a short stay but we enjoyed our dinner in downtown Williams and sleep at the hotel. Egg scrambles at breakfast were a bit dry but other than that, we had nothing to complain about this place. We had met both friendly and unfriendly staffs, just like any other places, but overall, our experience with this hotel was better than our expectation. In the next day, we visited Lowell Observatory, only ~half an hour drive away from this place, which was definitely worth for people like us who are interested in astronomy, or science in general.

Great hotel for the area

Perfect location to the sights around the area. The breakfast was ok but thought it could be better. There is an ihop across the street. Excellent staff.
