Super staff!

Pros: Really everything.
Location: The location is so convienient to the Grand Canyon it is like you are on the rim!
I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know. The staff is what made the experience stellar! With a storm coming in we had to leave a day early to make travel connections, they refunded our room charge and were happy to do so. The lodge feel is so warm and inviting, the decor very nice. Nice pool, comfy beds and good resturants make this hotel worth your stay.

Nice hotel - loved the Moose Head!

Posted Feb 6, 2016
Pros: Centrally located. Big rooms with big beds.
Cons: Set up a laundry - closest one was 25 minutes away in a camping ground! Top up the Coke vending machine more often.
Location: Grand Canyon only 20 minutes away
First time visited Grand Canyon made the mistake of taking a tour from Vegas. 6 hours by bus to canyon - ONE HOUR at canyon - and 6 hours back. Never again! Decided this time to drive out on our own and stay overnight. Best decision made!

It was a nice drive to this little village, The Grand Canyon Village, it's about 5 or 6 miles from the park entrance. This hotel is rustic with a theme of the olden pioneer days. It wasn't very big but had a restaurant and bar, gift shop and a nice fire place in the lobby. I enjoyed the soaking in the garden tub and sleeping in the comfortable bed. It was a good experience.

Nice hotel just outside Grand Canyon National Park

Posted Feb 5, 2016
Pros: Amazing value, pool and hot tub to relax in after visiting the Grand Canyon
Cons: Not much. Maybe a mini fridge. The saloon menu could be more expansive
Location: Did not have to pay higher rates to stay in the Park and about the same distance to the visitor center as GC village. Cheaper food options.
The hotel has great location just outside the National Park and has tons of amenities and cheaper food options than inside the Park which is an added benefit. The hotel has a very homie feel which was great. Two restaurants located within the hotel and free wifi which is good given the lack of reception in and around the Grand Canyon.

Cozy stay

Posted Feb 4, 2016
Pros: Large rooms, comfortable, nice lobby
Cons: More menu options, mini-fridge
Location: The Grand Canyon, National Geographic Center
Overall, the place was wonderful. There were some updates while we were there but nothing that disrupted day-to-day life. The lobby was beautiful with a fireplace, gift shop, and animals displayed. The rooms were very large and we had plenty of space to store our luggage. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very large. The bathroom had a bunch of wonderful amenities. The hotel was within 10 minutes of the park. The downside was that there was only an upscale restaurant across the street. After walking the canyon all day we were tired and didn't feel like changing to go to dinner, so we decided to get pizza. There is no pizza available at the hotel and no place around that delivers. We actually walked to the hotel bar across the street to get a pizza. The rooms were stocked with Keurig's and a toaster over, however, there was no mini fridge.

If you have a car this hotel is the perfect place to stay it's a 5 minute drive up into the national park. The facilities were terrific and the room was spacious clean and looked newly renovated. Would definately stay here again
