"An absolute 5-star stay and easily one of the most rejuvenating trips we have ever taken. We take a long weekend trip just about every six weeks, and from wheels-down to wheels-up, this was hands-down the most seamless, relaxing getaway we’ve had in years. Three days here truly felt like a full week off the grid.The house and the setting delivered exactly what we were craving: total, peaceful seclusion. Pelican Point is very quiet and remote, so it may not be for travelers looking for resort crowds, nightlife, or walking access to commercial strips. But if you want miles of untouched shoreline, serene calm, and a wide-open beach essentially all to yourself, this place is heaven. We did have one minor issue during our stay, but the host handled and resolved it quickly.A few practical tips for future guests to make your stay perfect:Footwear: Water shoes are an absolute must for exploring the rocky coastline and wading out. For us, it was calm seas so there was broken glass that washed up but hadn't been beaten by the waves - lots of sharp edges. Bug Prep: Because the no-see-ums come out when the breeze dies down. Pack plenty of bug spray and consider throwing a small portable fan in your luggage for the patio.Logistics: The entire process—the quick direct flight, grabbing a rental car at the airport, and provisioning groceries beforehand—could not have been easier.We loved every minute of our time here and are already planning our next trip back. "We loved this house and having the beach entirely to ourselves. The pool was fantastic, as was the balcony overlooking the ocean. Our group of ten was very comfortable. The house is well-equipped. Plenty of dishes, towels, kitchen stuff….Leyland was very helpful answering questions and Kassi’s takeout down the road really hit the spot! Perfect house for lots of privacy and family time."

"These cottages in Pelican Point were absolutely perfect for my husband and I. We wanted to spend half of our time on Grand Bahama on the eastern part of the island and then spend the second half in Freeport. If you are a fan of unspoiled private beaches, then this is the place for you. We absolutely loved being the only people on the beach for miles. Husband is an avid fly fisherman, and his ability go out right the front door and fish the flats at low tide was heaven for him. Be prepared to stop at Solomon's in Freeport and pick up some groceries before heading to the cottage. But once you arrive, the cottage is set up to give you everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once in the area there is a restaurant practically right next door (Pelicans by the Sea) and then another restaurant in McLean's Town (EJ's) -- both are delicious. The cottages were well equipped and pristine upon arrival. We can't wait to come back!"
