Short walk accross the street to 7 mile beach

Pros: It is reasonably priced because it is not directly on the beach, however you can use all the facilities of the Westin Hotel which is on the beach!
Cons: The rooms need some updating and I found it a bit dark even though we had an end room with extra windows. The pool area could use new lounge chairs.
Location: It was great to be able to use the facilites of the Westin Hotel accross the street which is right on the beach!
Nice relaxing and safe, no need to worry about safety in Grand Cayman or anyone bothering you to buy something! Everything is definately farely expensive but it's nice not to worry about being bothered by anyone. Seven Mile beach is beautiful and there are many things to do on the island.

Good location

Pros: Friendly staff and nice rooms
Location: good location..Really not much to do nearby unless you are a scuba diver or snorkeler.
Like the hotel, very nice continental breakfast but was not impressed with other restaurant on site. Food is very expensive any where you go on the island.

Pros: the staff are all nice and helpful. the restaurant is really good and service there is awesome. the cleanliness is also good.
Cons: nothing
Location: you have captain marvins next to hotel where you can book your stingray city tours. good frozen yogurt place called peachwave and fosters grocer store
I liked the location of the hotel. just a quick walk across the street and the beach is right there. free breakfast in the morning and you get to use all the amenities of the westin like beach chairs, towels, gym, and pool its pretty cool. also not to mention sunshine suites has the best restaurant on the island hands down from their burgers to their tacos and the complimentary small frozen yogurt cone at the end of every meal. overall I just really enjoyed my stay and when I come back to the cayman island I would stay here again.

Quiet, mellow

Like being at home without the hassles. Great to have sister relationship with the Westin Resort - right across the street. Fabulous location - close to two grocery stores. Having a kitchen saved tons of money on dining. WARNING! Do not book airport transfers through Expedia with Tropicana Tours. The trip from the airport to Sunshine suites was only partially miserable. However, Tropicana failed to show up to take us back to the airport and did not call to let us know they weren't coming. This, however, has nothing to do with Sunshine Suites, but Expedia should remove Tropicana Tours as a vendor.

Expedia $30 a day charge!

I have been going to GCM and staying at Sunshine Suites for many years to scuba dive. Not again. They now charge a $30 a day charge for beach access to the hotel across the street even if you do not use it. Their management stated to me that the charge was to "even" the rate they must give to Expedia versus the normal charges! Indicated if I booked next time on their website there would be no such charge. Over the years they have reduced the benefits of staying there. When I arrived, with an Expedia confirmed reservation, they said I was a week early and then put me in a bad room. At check out, they had charges from the other hotel that I had not been to. They could not care less.

Sunshine Suites are good value for money! Good location and facilities. Unit cleaned daily and staff very friendly. Would highly recommend!

Nice place great price.

Spent 4 nights here and we weren't in the room or at the resort much, it met all of our needs. Rooms are a nice size, and comfortable, they clean daily. Grounds are clean and well maintained. The restaurant at the resort is great but expensive like everything in the caymans. We ate at the restaurant for at least one meal everyday we were there. The free breakfast is not much to write about but it's free so you really can't expect much. Good location, beach is right across the street, the Westin was pretty cool as well and easy to use and access.

This a well maintained, clean property close to the beach and shopping. They have a very good restaurant for casual meals. The computers at the business center need to be replaced; they are old and went down regularly. The staff at the breakfast café needs to refrigerate the butter. It was left out in the heat and was consistently rancid. They have a very friendly and helpful staff, I have stayed there several times before and will return.

SUNSHINE SUITES - staff disappointing service.

Pros: Value for money... near beach, restaurants, shops, all that is advertised. BUT VERY POOR STAFF, not trained, WHEN YOU ARE ILL.
Cons: STAFF training. Visiting let rooms on a daily basis. Essential if you are ill.
Location: Good location, as advertisement says.
Hotel Sunshine suites is good value for money, except when you are ill. Staff service - knocking on my door, calling my phone during 24 hours, but NOT ENTERING MY ROOM TO FIND ME ILL AT ALL. FOOD POISONING is a common complaint abroad. I was ill on the bed. HOTEL STAFF, NO-ONE CAME IN TO FIND ME AND CALL THE DOCTOR FOR 24 HOURS. I was dehydrated, unable to move, answer the door or my telephone; too weak. I am not impressed by the Hotel Service.
