Good location; fair accomodation.

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Pros: location. good soundproofing.
Cons: The room was dingy and poorly lit. Only 2 elevators. Loud HVAC system.
Location: Adjoining Alerus Center
The CanadInn adjoins the Alerus Center, which makes it very convenient. The soundprooding in the room was excellent. However, the room seemed a little dingy, and the lighting was only fair. The HVAC system was loud.

Bring Frabreez

Room had quite an odour to it, honestly had to go buy some air freshner! Wished the pool fees were included, surprised the water park was not included considering the price per night.

Great family spot

A great place to take the family to check out the waterpark and grab a bite from the multiple restaurants found within the hotel. Would visit again.

It was alright.

The overall stay wasn't bad. The Waterpark was amazing however the staff of the Waterpark and the Garbanzo's pizza weren't very professional. I don't think there was one employee over 18 years old and definitely had no customer relationship skills. All were more concerned about visiting with each other and using their cell phones over serving the waiting customers wanting to buy water park passes. Next time I'd take my chances of just walking into the water park with my family and waiting until an employee noticed we didn't have passes over standing at the counter for 10 minutes while waiting for one of the 6 employees in front of me to notice me standing right in front of them. The restaurant hours are also not ideal for anyone wanting to eat after 9 pm with their family. The bistro attached to the hotel was over priced for what you got, and nothing really to offer other than pasta and pizza. I'd stay at the hotel again for the Waterpark for the kids only, but if we were travelling without the kids I'd stay somewhere else.

That pool though

The hotel was slightly above average, a lot of amenities improve the overall experience. The Waterpark is awesome for young children.

Overall OK hotel.

Pros: Location, quiet, clean.
Cons: Aaltos restaurant food quality needs much improvement! Price of hotel could be more competitive as getting a bit expensive.
Location: Easy access from the interstate. Easy to get to nearby shopping & restaurants.
Decent stay again at Canad Inn GF. But beds were extremely soft and not very comfortable. Ate at the Aaltos breakfast buffet one morning and was extremely disapponted. Food was almost unedible! Hotel should be ashamed of the quality provided at Aaltos. Will never eat there again! L'Bistro restaurant was good as always.

The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The reason I wouldn't recommend it was because of the price. It was too expensive for what was offered.

Absolute comfort for business or pleasure

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: The bed! It was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on with very clean and soft sheets. Too bad I was only there for an overnight stay.
Location: A couple of restaurants and bar are conveniently located in the hotel. Tim Horton's coffeeshop is across the street!
A quick business trip took me to Grand Forks and the Canad Inn more than met my expectations for one of the most comfortable overnight stays I have had in a while. My room was very clean and comfortable. The king size bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on with very clean and soft sheets. Too bad I was there for only one night. A future stay with family and/or friends will definitely bring me back here at this hotel, as there is a huge pool/splash play area that's great for everyone especially the young ones who'll want to be entertained.

Best place to stay in Grand Forks

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: 4 nice places to eat in the hotel
Cons: I wished the casino would have been open on Saturday night.......the hotel rented the sports bar out so guests could not go there and drink/gamble
Nice clean hotel. Water park is good for young families.....nothing special for teenagers.
