Close to everything and obvious updates!

The hotel definitely has been updated recently. Great fall decor and clean lobby and halls and the breakfast area was clean and full of choices plus it was free. Nice! The room had great amenities with microwave and refrigerator, hair dryer, basic coffee maker and etc. I wish the bathroom floor was cleaner it had dirt in edging and the iron in water was at a very high level. The bath water came out brownish yellow at start. The bathroom could use some shelving or hooks for personal items because it's too small otherwise. The beds were comfy and clean. Staff was not very pleasant, they did their job properly but without the hospitality. When we walked by the desk...no good morning or good evening or hello, welcome. We walked by a house keeper...same thing. One front desk lady did put us close to pool which she did because we had our kids with us. That was a nice gesture and observation. The pool area was wonderful but the hot tub was not clean enough and the pool chemical levels must have been high because our eyes were much more sore than other pools. The breakfast area was running out of syrup but the front desk employee was not pleased they needed to help. Very quiet and just fixed issued even though I said good morning and thank you. Overall because it fits my needs I would stay again but I wish it was more welcoming and the bathrooms need more updates to be comfortable. A bonus also is the coldstone ice cream and Tim Horton next to hotel. We enjoyed that with our kids.

Nice hotel for the money

Pros: Pool and room.
Cons: The breakfast was just OK, but it was adequate.
Location: It is close to everything.
We stayed 2 days at the Baymont in Grand Haven. The room was nice and staff pleasant. They had a great pool and whirlpool. The breakfast was just OK, but everything else was great and a bargain for the money.

Literally a "flea bag" hotel

Pros: The bed and bedding.
Cons: Overall renovation. Door frame was cracked and shoddily repaired.
Location: Grand Haven is paradise.
When I got home I had about 30+ flea bites all up and down my legs from my stay at the "Bugmont". Not exactly an inexpensive hotel either. Super disappointed, will NEVER stay at a Wyndham property again. Shameful. They owe me a refund. I have pictures of my legs, I'm absolutely miserable.

Many rated this low. It is an excellent hotel and facilities. The front desk could learn to be a little more friendly in explanation than basic "yes/no/I am not sure"...

Nice hotel in Grand Haven

Nice, modern, clean hotel. Pool was clean. Did not stay for breakfast but breakfast is included. Room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was dated but clean and water pressure was good. Bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again

Advertise breakfast but it was disgusting. Front desk staff indiffererent. You're pretty much on your own here.

Hotel of Choice

This is always my hotel of choice when I am in Grand Haven, Michigan or the area. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are nice as well.

We booked a room with 2 queens, called to confirm late check in told room will be held. Arrived 11 pm only room left single queen. Had to spend hour running to store for air matress. Didn't even have roll away. Very disappointed
