Nice hotel close to highways

Posted Aug 23, 2016
Pros: Clean rooms and great hot breakfasts.
Cons: Elevators would be nice.
Location: Grand junction. Peach festival and museums.
Rooms were clean. Staff was polite. my biggest complaint, no elevator which is if you are an older person, stairs aren`t always the best thing for us.

Enjoyable hotel for families or groups

Posted Aug 23, 2016
Pros: The 2 pools, easy access from the highway, decent Italian restaurant attached to hotel (fairly pricey though), gas station next door
Cons: The hotel is a bit dated. The bathroom, in the room, could use a fresh coat of paint, and there was hair on the floor
Location: WW Peppers is a Tex-Mex restaurant within walking distance. I would say $$ (kind of pricey) but close. (NO SUBSTITUTIONS to any menu choice though)
My daughter and I stayed here last year and were pleased enough with our stay then to rebook this year. We were down for the Palisade peach festival and had booked rooms well in advance. For this trip, we needed several rooms, and asked the hotel to be placed somewhat close together. They came through on this request for sure! 2 of our rooms had a joined door (which I didn't recall as a feature from our previous stay here) that was a nice feature for our group. The other rooms were just around the corner, so we were all close indeed. In addition, the staff gave us first floor rooms with the courtyard/pool access which was awesome for our kids! There is an indoor pool as well, which I could use for my 12 week old (to keep him out of the sun). As far as the free breakfast, this place definitely has the best offerings compared to bland 'continental breakfast' choices at other hotels. The room was perfectly fine to rest your head, however, I did not like the pillow comfort. But what is one to do? I guess you could bring your own.

Great Deal

Posted Aug 22, 2016
After driving through the non-service patch of 70 Eastward through Utah, Grand Junction is the first larger town you will encounter. There is a selection of hotels but I feel that the Clarion Inn is the best deal. Reasonable rates, friendly staff, and efficient accommodations makes the Clarion a great deal.

Not my cup of tea

Posted Aug 21, 2016
Pros: The price
Cons: See my overall comments above.
Ordered extra pillows and went to dinner. Came back and no pillows. Called and ordered them again; an hour later still no pillows. We called again and about 10 minutes later we had our pillows. The beds were hard and the chair in the room was very hard and uncomfortable also.

Good hotel, good breakfast

Posted Aug 18, 2016
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Maybe a few modernizing updates to facilities/decor.
The hotel was sort of average and a little older but in good condition. The breakfast had a large variety (including hot foods) for a free breakfast buffet.

I'd stay again.

Posted Aug 18, 2016
I stayed 2 nights at the hotel while sightseeing at Grand Junction and in Moab, Utah. The staff is so lovely, and that was excellent after a long drive both days. The room served its purpose and there was no major issues, just a noisy toilet and musty smell at first, which honestly didn't bither me for the price and location. The free breakfast was good, and the hotel is spacious, in the public areas, for larger families.

Relaxing stop on a long drive.

Posted Aug 7, 2016
We were exhausted from a long drive. The hotel staff was quick to help us, and we were pleased that there was a restaurant on site to get some food.
