This place was just breathtaking with the view. I loved the old historical feel to it. The staff were so wonderful ❤️ to us. The made our 40th anniversary special with their kindness and gifts. I would recommend it over and over again.
When we booked the reservation, there was no mention (on the lodge website or Expedia) that the main lodge is closed. That means no restaurant, no pool, no hot tub, no bar. This should be disclosed. Instead, we were up the road from the main lodge in "bungalows" that really were just small hotel rooms. We found this out only on the day we checked in. This is deceptive and was quite a disappointment for our weekend getaway.
This place is a hidden gem! Less than 5 minutes from town and has that isolated feel like your in a cabin in the woods! Never seen the night sky so clear! Thumbs up!
