Amazing hotel close to grand central

Posted Sep 17, 2017
The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk from the train station, 4 mins walk to supermarket, literally 4 minutes from grand central. The shops, cafes, restaurants, shopping all in one place leading off each other. We arrived at 9am about 6 hours before check in, and was still provided a room by the excellent ROMAIN. Defo would stay here again. The train station is only 15 minutes from airport and costs around 17.50 euros each way for two people. This hotel is in a perfect location and will be staying here again if and when visiting. Thank you to all the staff.

City hotel

Excellent location and nice clean and well furnished rooms. Lovely friendly staff. Rooms would benefit from some basic information for guests. I found it hard to link to the wifi in my room but managed it on about the 4th attempt.

Not appropriate for business travellers

Posted Sep 12, 2017
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Staff were generally good.
Cons: Internet.
Location: Very well located, near to Grote Markt and lots of other tourist sights and very near central Brussels train station.
Shockingly slow Internet. Food and staff were nice and the room was larger than usual in Western Europe, but impossible to do business on the road with such slow internet.

Great location and nice room!

Posted Sep 9, 2017
This hotel is located very close to the palace square. The rooms were spacious for European standards and very clean. We visited both hotel bars for a drink and they were nice and the staff was attentive. Overall a great place to stay for our visit.

Pros: location, quality of the rooms, helpful staff, extensive breakfast offerings
A well-managed hotel; very good location for center of town; close to the Grand Place, and to excellent restaurants. Very easy walk from the Central Station ...

Amazing location, service but hidden charges

Posted Sep 3, 2017
Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff, good value for money
Cons: The hotel needs to inform the customers in advance about the deposit.
Location: Grand Place, very central hotel.
The location is literally the best you can find, just 2 minutes walk from Grand Place but at the same time so quiet and relaxing. The service was amazing as we experienced an issue with our room during our 2nd night and in 10 minutes they offered us a free room upgrade and helped us with the transfer. We would definitely stay again at this hotel and would recommend it to friends. The design and decoration is so peaceful, everything is matched with harmony. The only drawback I noticed is that at their site they advertise the hotel and present a picture of a balcony with some tables offering Grand Place view. We thought this was a roof garden bar, however we were told it was the suite's balcony. I believe if it was a bar, it would be one of the most popular bars in Brussels and would bring more revenue than the suite (food for thought for the management). Finally, during the check-in they requested 150 pounds as deposit. Since we had paid the room in advance with debit card, they needed cash (we didn't have a credit card). As a result, this left us with a significant amount below our budget. Very frustrated. I am not sure if this is Expedia's fault or hotel's, we would definitely like to be informed about this before our stay in order to organise our budget better.

NOT A 5* HOTEL

Posted Aug 31, 2017
Pros: Central
Cons: Everything else!
Location: Lots of bars, restaurants and shops
We went out there as a big group for my husbands 50th birthday. The first disappointment was that i had paid for a Premium room and was not upgraded even when i explained why we were there- even more unhappy as they upgraded my sisters! The hotel said we had been given extra amenities- uh, bottled water is definitely not on par with an upgrade. A number of my friends also encountered problems where the staff were unwilling to help. I have stayed at 3 and 4* hotels that treated us 10 times better than this so called "5* Hotel*. I Will never recommend it and certainly not stay here again! What a let down!
