AARP Expedia DISASTER. Hotel VERY GOOD.
Posted Jan 5, 2017
We made the reservations in November for a one night stay at the Comfort on December 29, 2016. I even called a few days ahead to be sure all was in place and was reassured that I had paid for our stay and it was fine. When we arrived at 10 PM, there was no prepaid room reserved for us. aarp expediaa HAd screrw uip THE reservation. I was required to pay for the hotel room AGAIN. I did so. The staff was excellent and the facility was very good. I would stay here again and again. Plus it is close to the airport.
When we got home, I called AARP EXPEDIA and got some fellow (very hard to understand) who said he would help me secure a refund for the problems I had excounterd. What did he do? He calls the HOTEL and blames them for charging me again and then comes back to me and tells me that the HOTEL will reimburse me. I was very angry and said that AARP EXPEDIA had SCREW UP THIS RESERVATION, not the hotel. Now the gus from AARP argues with me becuse I did not call AARP EXPEDIA at 10 pm on my checkin. Yes, AARP messes up my reservation and I should be obligated at call then when we are off the plane and very tired. So now I ask for a supervuisor. First, he puts me on hold while he types up his report on this mess. After a long wait, I get a supervisor who also FIGHTS with me about not wanting to give me a refund from AARP EXPEDIA. The GOAL was to keep the money AARP did not earn and to punish the HOTEL who did their job in my behalf.
